I didn't care anymore. The dress I wanted to wear to the ball didn't fit me. So I decided to just wear another dress to the ball, but my mother said no. I asked her why not, but she didn't answer me. She was either ignoring or thinking that my question was rhetorical. After about 8 to 10 minutes, she finally answered my question. But it was not much of an answer if I do say so. She answered, "Because I simply do not want you to". And I ask back, "But why mother?". She once again does not answer me. Then she answered me one more time and says, "Just don't go to the ball."
