Chapter 3 - The Encounter

"I really am a Grovyle!" I said with surprise. "Wait... how did I even get in the Pokémon centre?" I asked myself while looking around in confusion. "I can explain that." A rough voice responded. I turned around and couldn't find the source of the voice but I felt their presence on the roof of the centre so I looked up. Only to see my senses were right. Even as a human this kinda stuff happened so this didn't surprise me too much. "You have sharp senses for a newly evolved Grovyle." The other Grovyle said. "Well I don't think too much of it but thanks." I say, while trying to be modest. " I'm the one who caught you and brought you here. You were a Treeko, Level 5, no experience points and 30 health points." He explained. "Yet here you are no difference in stats whatsoever yet you are a Grovyle none the less." He spoke with a thoughtful expression on his face. "Here, take this" He said while throwing a rock at me. I immediately recognised that it was an everstone. "Why-" I asked, but before I could finish my sentence I started to evolve? No, that's not right. I'm...de-evolving...? How is that even physically possible? "I'm a Treeko?" I ask as I turned to see if I was right. I was. I was a Treeko. "Hm. I thought that would happen." He said indifferently. I threw the stone so that he was able to catch it. "Thanks for giving it back I'll be off now, I'm on the job after all." he spat out quickly and as quick as he appeared he disappeared. "Well I better look around for shelter otherwise I'm gonna get caught out, they let trainers stay there but I don't know about wild Pokémon. I doubt it." I said with a gloomy expression. "Well I best start looking!" I said while puffing out my chest. I marched on but I stayed on guard just in case. I didn't know what the Pokémon were like around or if there were any Beedrill nesting.

I felt a presence. I walked a bit faster thinking it might leave me alone after seeing that I was leaving but it followed me. "Stop there Treeko." The voice instructed me. I then began to sprint. At this point I was scared. I was a weak Pokémon and based on the Grovyle I saw not long ago, the wild Pokémon here seem strong. "Hey!" The voice shouted. I was in complete panic mode. All my rational thinking had been thrown out the window. I sprinted as fast as my little Treeko legs could take me. I then saw a clearing up ahead so I bolted for it using every ounce of strength I had. I then saw a figure pass me and it headed for the clearing, but by the time I stopped I was at the edge of the clearing. I was greeted by a large and powerful looking Septile. "Hey! It's okay! I'm not gonna hurt you!" He assured me. "Who are you and why are you following me?!" I yelled out in fear at him. I gave him a cold glare trying intimidate him and to show less fear but it seems he saw through my glare. " Hey...There's no need to be scared. I want to help you." He calmly explained. "One of my messengers reported to me that a Treeko fell from the sky, was unconscious and as he was headed to the Pokémon centre he saw them again and said that the Treeko de-evolved right before him." He explained. "You are... Well were close to the entrance of the forest so I assumed it was you because you didn't recognise my presence." He continued. "Because you didn't recognise my presence you panicked and ran away." He stated. "Why do you wish to help me and how...?" I asked him while tilting my head. "I plan to take you in and welcome you into my tribe that I lead so that you can be safe and have the opportunity to become stronger." He offered. "I don't follow strangers." I firmly stated while shifting into a defensive stance subconsciously. "My Name is Forest Hikari. What's your name?" He asked. When he asked this all the memories of this body's life was shown before me. I blinked. "H-Hey! Can you hear me?" He asked in a worried voice. I then realise that he was the only reason why I was able to stand was because he was holding my arm and supporting the back of my neck. "I-" I felt a sharp pain go through my entire body. I fall into unconsciousness.
