Ever since the Shimizus had moved in the house neighboring to the Takahashis, they had received a warm welcome. A bond had developed between the families. They grew exceptionally close. The children, Yuqi Shimizu and Sosuke Takahashi, became best friends. Sosuke was a cute boy with good looks and was extremely caring. Yuqi was a pretty girl, chubby and had a comparatively large forehead. She had a mischievous side that was overshadowed by her unbelievably innocent face.
It had been three long and beautiful years between the two families when in a dinner get together Mr. Takahashi, Sosuke's father, announced, "It has been a pleasure to have known you and spend time with you dear Shimizu! But I am afraid we need to part ways soon!". "Uncle are you going on a trip? For how long?",Yuqi asked with confusion.
"Uncle, aunty and Takahashi are shifting to another city Yuqi. We will be shifting in a week.", he replied gloomily. The mothers looked at each other sorrowfully and a gloomy atmosphere settled. Right then Yuqi burst into tears, while trying to console her even Sosuke started crying.
After a week Yuqi and Sosuke bade farewell with tears in their eyes. A week following the departure... Yup wouldn't play nor eat properly. After a month did she get back to her normal self and routine but she never forgot about her best friend.
