Kelvin reentered the silent stage without his Queen, approaching the still standing Vale. Kelvin looked down with his excellent posture towards the mentally defeated rook, letting out a small crown of discontent.
"Your performance was satisfactory. You may now leave the stage." Kelvin spoke as he looked to the mentally defeated rook.
"Lucky me! I guess I don't have to fight a high rank today!" Vale cheerfully announced as he took off all of his gear.
"Hmmm..."
Kelvin had the rook dragged off the stage as a large podium appeared from the ground in front of him. He stepped up and adjusted the flexible microphone as he began to speak to the student body.
"It seems that our rook is no longer capable of representing the school. Therefore, we will be appointing a new rook on the beginning of the next month. We sincerely oblige you all to apply for the position of second rook. It is a great service to our school." Kelvin spoke.
Vale exited the stage casually and returned to his seat, sitting next to Luna.
"What is wrong with that rook?" Luna asked.
"He must be anxious because of the mid-low rank. Stress can do things to you." Vale insisted.
"What are you hiding, Vale? You haven't even told me any of your abilities since you joined the Newspaper. Don't tell me you are some mental ability user with some amped up PQ." Luna continued.
"Luna Dell, I promise that I do not possess a mental ability. Also, I have not witnessed any of your abilities either." Vale responded in an annoyed voice.
"Besides, why would I hide such a highly ranked ability? It would have been extremely easier to just apply for Autom with that ability. Especially since it is always an elite rank ability."
"I may have known you for a only a year, but I know you are lying." Luna spoke.
"Remember, I know all the tricks too."
"If a mid-low can do it, why can't a mid-high too?" Luna spoke in a softer tone.
The conversation ended without a further word as the pair decided to listen to Kelvin's announcement.
"Also, there has been word about a mid-low rank student that has been terrorising the student body, so today will be the day that we fix this issue. May David Sullivan please enter the stage?"
A black haired 2nd year student with many bruises and bandages on him appeared before Kelvin as the former walked up the stage.
"What is it that you need, King?" David asked.
"Well, you are the terrorist mid-low ranked student right?"
"Yes, I have nothing to hide. But I am no terrorist." David responded confidently.
"Mr Sullivan, I have looked through your official PQ; and things do not seem to match up. You see, your PQ is only a measly 34, yet you possess three high order abilities. Nice try, but all it takes is an order from my father to find out all I need to know. You are in fact, a high rank that possesses 81PQ." Kelvin announced.
"..."
"You see, you were hiding something. Well then, you are now a pawn of the Board, 'no' is not an option."
"Yes...my King."
"Just know everyone. Know that I will personally find out who is not contributing to the school, and I will make the perfect board with them." Kelvin announced.
Vale chuckled silently as he watched the speech go on. He was soon interrupted by Luna, who tapped his shoulder.
"Vale, you see? Sooner or later both of us will know each other's abilities, so why won't tell me already?" Luna asked.
"Because it has never mattered before. The Newspaper has never cared about abilities in recruitment, so I might as well wait it out." Vale contested.
"Julian is probably pissed right now... he really wanted me in the Board."
"Just tell-"
"Luna Dell, remember that day when I joined the Newspaper? You didn't care about my abilities then and neither did I care about yours. You are my friend, but some things are better left alone."
"Fine. We will both know soon enough." She smirked.
"Luna-"
Suddenly a masculine figure appeared in front of the chatting pair.
"Hey Luna, is this kid bothering you?" The person asked.
"No, why are you here Nalan?"
"I thought that you would consider going on a date with me, I have a PQ Of 87 you know? I will definitely get that rook spot!"
"Overconfident much? Sure no one will beat you to the top?" Vale laughed.
"Do you know who the fuck You are talking-"
Vale glared at Nalan, giving off a soul piercing energy, instantly making Nalan jump back half a metre.
"Do you know who the fuck You are talking too?" Vale mimicked in a mocking gesture.
"...I will make you pay for this-"
SLAM
Vale instantly got up from his seat and walked over to the bathroom followed by an angered Nalan. Vale opened the door to the men's bathroom and waited inside, next to the hand dryer. Nalan would soon follow him into the toilets.
"Hmmph. I guess you do not care for your safety." Nalan confidently spoke.
"I can knock you out right now, but I will give you this one chance. Stay away from Luna, she is mine!"
Vale listened with a disinterested face, moving his hand to the tap; putting it on maximum pressure. The room was quickly filled with the noise of a very loud tap, making Nalan's voice inaudible.
YAWN
Vale proceeded to lean his back on the wall as Nalan furiously shouted over the noise.
"BITCH! I AM GOING TO KILL YOU-"
CRACK
Vale slammed his right knee into Nalan's ribs, breaking them in a single strike. The high ranked immediately fell to the ground and slid all the way to the door.
"What did you just say?" Vale coldly spoke.
"YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE-"
Nalan proceeded to point his index fingers at Vale, readying his ability.
CRASH
Nalan was flung through the door, straight into the walk space in front of the front row.
"Sorry, Mr Nalan over here tripped over." Vale playfully announced to the crowd.
"He must have ignored the 'no running' rule."
Kelvin glared at the scene, sensing something was definitely off; but continued his speech nevertheless, having the spotlight directed back towards him.
"Hi there, bitch. I hope you can listen to me, because I got something important for you to remember." Vale whispered into the barely conscious Nalan.
"Do not fucking mess with me, you are already regretting it now."
Luna was the only one watching, with a terribly shocked expression on her face.
"Vale, What the hell are you doing? Nalan is a high rank! Do you want to die?"
"As you said, we will know each other's abilities soon enough. So here is a sample so you stop asking." Vale spoke in a more hostile voice.
The pace of events were following each other very quickly, leaving no room for peace. It was just a normal week two days ago, but now it has turned to this.
[All according to plan.]
