An ethereal creature bathing in the gentle moonlight reflect off my eyes. Her long lustrous navy hair flowed gently in the wind like dancing ribbons, her skin was so pale the moonlight gave her a faint magical glow. Her supple and full lips were glossy; the vermillion border was a candy apply red while her under and lower lips were a strawberry pink slowly fading into a coral pink. Her pastille cornflower, azure and maya blue dress (han fu style like those drama or anime) embraced her perfectly gliding along the gentle breeze. There was no words that could fully comprehend how magical she looked.
Her slim and long fingers gracefully but also playfully plucked at the guzhengs strings as if she was not just playing an instrument but with another live creature.

The tranquil music she played perfectly reflect her as each note was sharp and clear resounding through my body. Hang loosely around her neck, although well hidden was a simple silver necklace that held a delicately crafted pendant in the shape of a waxing crescent moon coloured by miniature sapphires.
It was her! My xiao Meng-er, (little meng and 'er' is used as an endearment term) she was still wearing that necklace I made for her all those years ago!
Thump! Thump! Thump!
I could feel my heart desperately trying to beat out of my chest as I burned her image into my brain. After so long my Meng-eat has finally grown up! Does she remember me? Will she blame me for leaving? Another train of thought rushed through my head as I began to become anxious. After composing myself I finally managed to collect my emotions and pushed opened the door...
