Ruan Danchen hastily shoved her things into her bag. She did not want to waste any time, as Qi Chenglin's presence intimidated everyone.
Qi Chenglin kept quite. His lips were curled into a secret smile and his expression, as he watched her buzz about, was soft. He took her hand into his, grabbing her attention.
"Why didn't you wait in the car?" Ruan Danchen whispered.
"You already promised to marry me, so why should I keep hiding in the car?" Qi Chenglin replied.
As he did not care for whispering, quite a number of people overheard his statement.
Ruan Danchen was utterly embarrassed. Her face burnt like hot pepper.
The couple went into the elevator and descended to the first floor, where more people saw them. Ruan Danchen felt the skin of her scalp prickle. "Brother. Sister-in-law."
Before turning around to greet Qi Chengyue, Ruan Danchen shot Qi Chenglin a glare. It was obvious that the two had planned this from the beginning.
