"Goba tells story, story teach first language, brother read, write, listen, speak first language. Give hand."
I don't fully understand what he means by the story teaching me about this first language, but I'll find out I think. I place my hand into his and I focus on Goba who opened the book. He doesn't look at me, he just focuses on the book. And then something amazing happens, Goba speeks in proper sentences.
"In the first moment that ever came to be there wasn't much, a planet with a sun, a moon, and stars to decorate the sky. There were big patches of water, plains with grass, forests filled with trees, mountains that point up to the sky as sharp icy spikes that are a pure white.
The only sounds are from flowing water down the mountain to the sea, leaves falling to the earth when the wind pulls them from the branches, and when one listened very closely in the plains one heard the grass giving their best effort to grow bigger.
But at that moment that the world came to be there was one creature standing on this empty world. He looked at it, was one with it, and knew it was perfect. But only as perfect as a perfectly white, empty canvas is to a painter.
This beautiful but empty world needed inhabitants, inhabitants that made it less empty. And so the creature started thinking, he thought and he thought as he walked over the world. He traveled everywhere to find inspiration, and when he found himself back at the point where he started, the point where he was when this world started to exist, he finally knew that it didn't matter what he'd put in this world. He created the tiniest creature and said to it
'My tiny creation, I put you on a path of great trouble, I want you to survive, to live, and to become more tomorrow than you are today. I won't give you much to start your journey, I only give you this language that will help you out when you aren't just you anymore. Go out and live your life to the fullest, go out and grow!'
And with that the creature disappeared, the one who will be known as the Great Creator was never seen again. But he's still there, looking, nudging the world where it needs a puch to grow.
The tiny creation didn't realise what just happened, but he looked up and saw a giant green sword and he really wanted to eat it, so he did. What could possibly stop him in this almost empty world?
The little creature had many troubles when eating though, his food was too huge and too plentiful, the wind was also so strong that it almost picked him up at times, and when he had the joy of almost finishing his first meal after many lights and darks he suddenly noticed another creature, eating his food.
He wanted to know who this other creature was, so he asked:
"Who are you, why do you eat this green blade?"
And the other creature replied with:
"I don't know who I am, but this blade is great, I've been eating it for as long as I can remember."
The first creature was stunned, the new creature was exactly the same as him, he felled great about it.
"Hey, I've been eating this one for as long as I can remember too, so we're the same. a
And as we're the same, we must be brothers."
The other creature nodded his body and agreed, and so the first brothers were born.
~~~~~~~~~
A lot of time passed, many new brothers were found and nobody knew where they came from. One moment no brother was there, and the next there was, joining in the joyful eating.
But there were sad moments too, brothers being swept up by the wind and carried away, flushed away by rain, even going as far as falling inside black holes in the ground where the bottom could not been seen.
Over time brothers were found that looked slightly different, they had different colours, were bigger or even smaller, there even were rumours about brothers eating brothers. And like this many days passed, the moon showed that it will grow and shrink with time, the temperature changed as the mountains turned more and less white with every time the moon was at its biggest.
As more time passed the creatures didn't see all others as brothers anymore, not all creatures were the same anymore. Nobody knew when it happened, or how it happened, but things changed, and things needed to change more.
Names were created to let others know what family they are from, and because some families wanted the same things they argued, fought even. The fights killed many, what were once brothers were now enemies that wanted what you have, or brothers that don't want to share what they have.
It's always the other that have greed, and this makes it easy to forget that they are the same as you, a brother that should be protected.
The Great Creator saw this and knew it couldn't continue like this, this would always continue as when only one family survives they will grow away from themselves given enough time. So he gave them something to work against together, something to let them all protect the one thing they love. The very world they are born on.
From the ground grew a root so big no tree on this world could ever produce it, but from this root came creatures that have never been seen before. The humans came.
The original creatures felt the danger that these creatures could mean for their world, so the first thing they did was get rid of the root they came from. The strongest of the original creatures felt it wouldn't be easy, and so he volunteered to take it down himself.
He flew high in the sky with a body that would rival a mountain and wings that could make night of the brightest of days.
High in the sky he looked for a big meteor, and when he found it he used his strongest fire to refine it to the purest of metal. After that he threw it to the root directly, planning to take out the root and any creature that's close to it.
As the purest metal, infused with the strongest flame and with the fastest of speeds made its way down to the root it burned so bright it rivalled the sun. The root, sensing the second sun heading his way made all the creatures run from it, they fled in all directions as fast as they could. Many fell from the ambush of the original inhabitants, and many fell when the root was hit, but many escaped. Settling in different places in groups small enough to go unnoticed, there they grew in strength and number, waiting to show this world what they were, they were human. But even though the humans survived the root disappeared, and no new humans ever found their way back to this world again.
After this the original creatures called themselves the Monsters, together they hunted down the last humans, but the humans stayed hidden. And over time they grew in strength and when they were strong enough they went outside. Even being as bold as building a huge walled city in the middle of the Plane of Beginnings, the Monsters were upset and attacked. But the walls were high and strong, the walls even went on when the stones stopped. The monsters had their first lost against the humans. Many monsters were killed, and as long as the humans stayed inside the wall they couldn't be harmed.
The monsters who could have done something about the city stayed put, they didn't see it as something world ending, as the humans needed to breed and grow just as monsters to become strong. They saw them as little more than entertainment.
When the strong Monsters showed that their ideas weren't in line with the rest of the monsters more differences came to light. All Monsters fell for their greed again, and when they weren't fighting the humans they did fight under themselves.
The Great Creator was disappointed in his creations but wouldn't help anymore, as he saw what his previous help did. The world continued turning, and over time humans grew more cities, and monsters destroyed more cities. Many human heroes grew, and many monster heroes grew, either of which were the greatest enemy of the other side.
And so the world will keep going until either the minsters are gone or the humans are gone. But the Great Creator hopes for another ending, an ending that they can live in peace, learn to share what they have and other miss, learn to share their feelings, learn to share the world they're all born on.
This is the story of the world called Terrall."
