Almira was currently working on a Bracer when the door opened and her disciple appeared alongside with a miniature Gryphon and a Battle Maid that seemed to be a very weak individual except for the small fluctuations of Psychic power which should be a power on the Magician skill tree. She have seen that power since Simona is a Magician able to learn on 12th tier easily.
I, on the other hand was pondering on how I should make Lina's Battle Maid outfit into something beneficial in combat. When Lina and I met each other during the past timeline, I was a poor bloke and only had a few gold coins to spare. In the end, I only made a few upgrades on Lina with the cheapest amount with only a few amount of gold which is in the boundary of my budget. Now that I don't lack the gold, what should be the best upgrade should her uniform get?
"Hello my dear apprentice, I see you brought a few companions with you. Are you planning to get them good equipments?" Almira asked.
"Yeah, especially Lina here. I will train her in the nearby forest to level up and to do that, I want her Battle Maid Equipment to be upgraded," I stated.
"Battle Maid? I thought most Battle Maids are on training right now?" Almira was surprised, hearing that Lina was a Battle Maid.
"Training? I had no idea about that?" I quickly stated before looking at Lina quizzically.
"Yeah, I was a registered Battle Maid but according to the trainer who trains the Battle Maids and Butlers that I was still too weak to come into the training," Lina dejectedly lower her head.
"I see, no wonder you were left out," Almira said while nodding.
I have no idea that this was the reason and I don't really have much knowledge on Battle Maids and I only knew them in the past due to the public employment that the Battle Maids did to gain adventurer companions to serve and become much more stronger. Seeing me looking confused, Almira laughed as she sipped her coffee on the table.
"You won't really know about this matters, my dear apprentice. You really won't see the actual training of Battle Maids and Combat Butlers since they are in secret. Those people who wanted to become a Combat Butler or Battle Maid should register themselves to the Combatant Helper School and only accessible by us people, unlike you all immortals which are forbidden for entry there," Almira said.
So there was a thing like that? I don't have a slightest idea that Battle Maids and Combat Butler had a lore like that in which I have no idea at all even with my immense knowledge of the game. Almira still continued to talk and explain.
"Usually, everyone can become a registered Battle Maid or Combat Butler but before they became stronger, they needed the training from someone of the Combatant Helper School. Most of the time, they accept almost everyone. Unless they blatantly reject them from joining. And looks like it was Lina's situation and as I can say you have dove struck from them to reject your training," Almira frowned. Lina dejectedly looked at me.
I tapped her shoulder with a calm look. So that is the explanation why she was really weak when I saw her in the past. She was rejected. But well, isn't that a good thing? I can train her, much stronger than what she was before. And on top of that, she is much more rare to get than the other Battle Maids who are all in just Normal Tier even when they are trained.
Almira led Lina to her shop. Of course, I let Almira decide the upgrades and I have no way of entering. Its the domain of the girls and even though this is the virtual world, they will slap you if you act indecently and their friendship level to you will drop significantly which I hope that will never happen.
Since they are busy, I look around the Pet Armory of Almira's Blacksmith Store. There are some minor equipments for starters on the pet but their have trashy stats. However, I have no way of crafting pet gears yet and the only available gear for Leona is the Tin armor which is a bit weak.
"Tin Armor"
Level 20
Defense: 50
Agility: 12
Tier: Normal
Price: 10 Gold
Description: A starter armor for any kind of pets. Useful for the time being but recommended to change soon as this armor looks like it will fall in just one blow. Resizable according to the size of the pet.
Its price is considered expensive but it is much better for now than without any defense but just like what the description of the Tin Armor said, it is really recommended to change its equipment as soon as possible . This Tin armor is not meant for continuous use.
Aside from that, I also bought a saddle to attach on Leona's back which is resizable and will change its size if Leona shrinks or expands to its normal size.
I can hear several tinkering sounds inside the room where Almira and Lina was gone, looks like Almira is already upgrading the Battle Maid uniform.
It took at least around 20 minutes or less before Almira and Lina returned to the lobby. From what I can see, the faded color black of the frills on the Battle Maid uniform returned to its shiny black sheen color which is a sign of the better defense of the outfit. From what I can see on the Battle Maid uniform, it has a few additional items added like the shoulder spaulder armor attached on her shoulder which acts as the armor on her shoulder area. The chest area is also protected with a female armor that is attached on the uniform. It has a better defense than a Chainmail and from what I can see, it was quite a nice upgrade and will mostly last a lot of blows from monsters.
Her Whip was also upgraded and was already attached with barbs on the very tip which will be a very good weapon for inflicting severe damages against enemies especially humans. I can see that Lina was very satisfied and happy from the purchase and I can felt that her stats have risen significantly. Looks like she is ready to go to battle.
I paid all of the purchases and the upgrade of both Leona and Lina which cost me 150 gold. It might be expensive but its no longer worth mentioning in front of me who is considered very rich with gold. Also, I can earn them back easily.
We bid farewell to Almira and goes outside the capital, away from curious looks in the eye and rides on Leona which will take us to a monster den.
Its a few kilometers away from the Capital and the monsters here are Level 40 above. They are still considered very strong for the currently level of the players which is around level 20 above. They are still not confident to tackle these high leveled monsters yet that is why this place will be considered deserted by many players until reaching level 40 which is ways to go yet.
"Is this the place where we will train?" Lina shivered as she asked me. If course she will shiver from the amount if level 40 above monsters roaming the area. For a level 0 to step on a level 40 sanctuary is considered suicide.
"Yeah, but you won't be fighting for now. You will just stay around so that you can also get experience whenever I kill the monsters. These are all small fries so it won't be a problem," I said to Lin.
She nodded. This method is similar to player carrying in many games which they asked high leveled players to party up with them and earn Exp without fighting too much in a dungeon, leveling up easily. The only difference is that, she will get full exp deserving for her and we won't divide the Exp gained.
The monsters here are all considered small fries so I just used a few skills from the classes of Alchemist and Swordsman. I did it so for the reason of training them, to earn easy Exp. Killing the monsters are very easy now but the experience are so trashy and from what I can see, it barely added a single percent of Exp in my Exp bar despite killing around a dozen level 40 monsters.
But Lina already have grown to level 23 without doing anything. Lina looked at herself with wonder as she felt her body get stronger as I finish a monster down. I continued doing this for an hour and after battling hundred if monsters, I managed to retrieve a few forging materials, alchemy materials and a few equipment that are only good enough for selling. Lina also have grown from level 23 to level 41 without a hitch. Leveling Lina is getting harder and her Exp bar also begin to get trouble obtaining larger amount of Exp like how mine only got to raise at 2% despite the hundred monsters being killed.
We move into the safe zone of the forest with Leona and rested there for a bit and also to look for the AP and SP that accumulated after she leveled up.
"How are you Lina, do you feel anything strange?" I asked her.
"Well, except for the strong power surging my body everytime I level up, I feel nothing else besides that. And forgive me since I have not spent the 5 AP I have and I hope sensei can help me allocate those points for me," she answered.
I nodded in satisfaction as this was the normal feeling of an NPC whenever they level up. Also, she is indeed wise, if you are unsure on what to do, ask someone who knows and are knowledgeable. I looked at her stats and I was stunned by the growth.

F*ck, her growth spurt was so huge! And now that I see it, all of her equipment has a +10 next to their names. And what the hell are these AP of hers? 415?! This is insane! I can see her initial stats all multiplied based on their first stats! It all multiplied by 41!What kind of growth rate is this? Her SP is a bit on the normal side of 205 which is a normal 5 SP per level but the AP seems abnormal. 10 AP per level? With the addition of the 5 AP that she have not spent yet, her total AP earnings is 410!
Her stats growth might be due to the influence of her Battle Maid outfit. In reality, these outfits only help their wearers get stronger so their stats should be about average than normal. But the growth rate of Lina was overwhelming! Looking at her, I might be wrong about her being a Gold Tier, perhaps she might be on par with Legendary or Heroic Tier once she reach level 100?!
