Blind jealousy was running through Tang and he didn't care what arguments she was putting forth.
Meanwhile she continued ranting, outraged, "do you even know who he is? You should be ashamed of imagining something like…"
He didn't want to hear that man's name from her mouth anymore and did the only thing his body and mind was screaming for. Pulling her hair roughly, he plunged in deep, giving her a feel of his teeth and tongue. Taken aback for a moment, she whimpered at the onslaught and couldn't decide what was more – the pleasure or the pain.
He didn't know whether the moan was emanating from his throat or hers but it only egged him on to bring their bodies closer still. It seemed as if they had picked up from where they left it off early morning. Jia Li poured her angst, her frustration, everything into the kiss and gave it her all. It was only when they came up for air that they realized that they had managed to gather an audience comprising of two eight year old kids and a mother who looked ready to pull her hair out.
"…people have lost all sense of proprietary. Why don't they get a room? First those giggling idiots and now these…"
Thoroughly embarrassed by the lady's mutterings, Jia Li and Tang walked away as quickly as possible. They reached the parking to look for the bus but couldn't see it anywhere. Jia Li picked up the phone to dial Li Jie's number. But Tang couldn't take his eyes off her lips, which were glistening red because of his assault. He brushed his thumb gently across her lower lip. She almost dropped the phone in mid-sentence and stared at him. Recovering, she went back to the conversation and hurriedly ended the call.
"What are you doing? We can't keep losing control like this. I am not...I can't…please just stop. You are driving me crazy. We were in the middle of a crazy argument and I have no clue how we went to crazy kissing from there in an instant", perplexed, she held her head with both hands.
"Don't you remember we had talked about this - our resolution to solve all fights by this method. Our chemistry has always been explosive," he shrugged as if that explained it all.
"Maybe that is why we have so many unresolved issues amongst us," she said bitterly.
"Anyways, Li Jie has informed me that they are on their way to the Jade Buddha temple already and that we should finish our 'conversation' and head back home. As per the official version, you have gone to office and I have gone to meet some old friend. I have no idea what these guys are up to," she said, shaking her head.
He took both her hands in his and said, "do you think we should actually try to have that conversation, the one which is long overdue?"
Jia Li withdrew her hands, "I don't think there is any need for the same at this juncture and it won't solve anything. This temporary madness, which has overtaken both of us will go away once you get married and I go back to Beijing."
He tipped her face up, "I think you are scared. You can make thousands of excuses, offer as many justifications as you like, but the truth is that you don't want to talk about the real issue."
