Wei looked from Tang to Jia Li and back and said, "I guess it comes from the fact that so many things have gone wrong for them over the years. So he probably just wants to make sure that the marriage goes through without a hitch."
By now, Jia Li had reached near the elevated ground. Tang helped her get up by gripping her hand and didn't let go till the time the ceremony was over.
