Before the system stopped talking, it said about [Aura] being really poor in quality. But how did it know what a poor quality [Aura] was? And from the looks of it, there are indeed people who could rise above the level of [Physical King] but due to some reason, the whole Power tree has been cut at [Physical King] now.
Shaking his head lightly, Saksham looked at the next change with a grim look. It was the prompt of the change in his bloodline. Earlier, when he had asked for a full-body inspection from the system, he found an anomaly there. In it, he saw that his race was Human-??. He is human so why did it show 2 question marks after that? And suddenly when his powers upgraded, his entire bloodline changed to Immortal.
Even though the bloodline said Immortal, he was pretty sure it was not the type of Immortal who won't ever die. From the looks of it, it was the name of a race. And as there were no physical changes after his race changed, Saksham concluded that this [Immortal] race was pretty similar to humans.
Now, Saksham had more doubts in his head. The effects of the Immortal bloodline would just make him stronger the more he is near death. There was an increase in defense and tenacity too in this effect, but it didn't really make him unkillable. Why was this race named [Immortal] then? Just because of the sheer increase in strength when close to dying? Surely not because of that, right? If that's the case, shouldn't they be named something like –[Berserker] race or something? That name would suit them more.
The more Saksham thought about it, the more he felt that he was onto something. He thought for a bit and asked, "What is this [Immortal] race and why did my race change suddenly with the upgrade in powers?"
"[Immortal] race was an extremely powerful race that lived in ancient times. They were known for their extreme damage-resistant bodies, terrifying strength, as well as their recovery power beyond common sense. Due to their special bloodline power as well as their physique, they could fight and even kill people stronger than themselves. But suddenly, this race went extinct mysteriously. As for why your race changed, it is because of you meeting all the conditions required for the race change."
As Saksham heard this, his eyes widened as all the pieces came together in his head. That race was called [Immortal] not because they never died, but because they were almost impossible to kill by the people of the same level and even people stronger than them. That race's bloodline made them stronger the more they are hurt. But they could also heal their injuries very fast too because of their special physique. So, they would always be on the verge of dying, where their strength increase would be maximum, but because of their inhuman healing power, they would never die instantly. This is the reason their race was named [Immortal].
As for the conditions, the system said, Saksham had a rough idea about it. From strengthening his body to reducing all the incoming damage by 25%, his defense has indeed become so strong that even after 3 [Elemental Kings] used their ultimate moves, they were still incapable of doing much harm to him. Even his overall strength had grown a lot stronger than before. Last but not the least, his healing power given by [Tree of Life]. If you are wondering why the healing effects of [Tree Of Life] considered in the conditions required for race change, it was because the [Tree Of Life] is not an external object. In fact, it is a part of Saksham's body now.
Saksham suddenly thought about another question that came to his mind after his system told him about the [Immortal] race. The [Immortal Body] he gained after using 95 EP, was it somehow connected with his Immortal Bloodline? The more he thought about it, the more he felt that he was right. So, he asked lightly, "Is the [Immortal Body] and my [Immortal] bloodline connected?"
"Of course it is connected. When the [Immortal] race was still alive, the noblest members of their race were given the opportunity to learn one of the strongest body strengthening techniques known to the world, [Immortal Body]. Unfortunately, only 1 in every 100,000 years could successfully be able to learn it, but no one was ever able to master the body strengthening technique to its full level."
"And this was also the reason it was called one of the strongest body strengthening technique and not THE strongest, because no one has ever been able to see what it could do when mastered fully. Some people said that if one could master it fully, they would reach to a whole new level and be on the same foot as Gods."
"[Immortal Body] was also an exclusive body strengthening technique for the [Immortal] race as no one other than people of their race could ever learn it. And as one successfully gets started with [Immortal Body], that person would also awaken a body talent knows as [Immortal Retaliation]."
Saksham was shocked when he heard this. He knew that his [Immortal Body] was really strong but he never expected that he was still underestimating its power. It was basically the strongest body strengthening technique. Just the initial effects of the [Immortal Body] was so strong, he couldn't imagine what would happen if he somehow upgraded it to full level. Would he really become a true Immortal? Would he become…a god?
Saksham shook his head and threw this thought at the back of his head. He was still really far away from that level, so there was no point thinking about that for now. He had some more questions he wanted to ask.
"When did this race go extinct?"
"10 million years ago."
"How many other races existed at that time?"
"Countless races used to exist at that time."
"What about now? How many other races exist now?"
"Result Unknown."
"Why did the race go extinct?" Saksham tried to ask again.
"Result unknown."
Still the same result. Saksham sighed but didn't let think much about it. This much information was also a lot for him to digest. From what he heard, there used to be many races that were as powerful as the [Immortal] race or even stronger. Their power levels were on a completely different level than humans right now. But somehow, [Immortal] race went extinct suddenly. The reason behind it is unknown, but such a strong race to completely disappear suddenly is a bit concerning.
