By the time Saksham came out of the Main building of IOEA HQ, it was already dark outside. As it was winters, the sun went down very early. And this was the best time for Saksham too. With the help of the passive ability of his Assassin's Suit, he could easily blend into the darkness and people will not be able to sense him easily. Saksham walked slowly towards a crowded area and soon blended into the darkness and came to an empty dark alley. Seeing no one around, he took off his Assassin's Suit and put it in his 'System Storage'. Taking a sigh of relief, Saksham left the alley and headed towards the metro station.
After about 40 minutes, Saksham knocked on the door of his house. Savitri opened the door and found Saksham standing with a smile on his face. Savitri also smiled and let Saksham in. As soon as Saksham came inside the house, his body completely relaxed. Saksham also didn't realize how tensed and vigilant he was since he entered the IOEA HQ. He was a little scared of what would happen in IOEA and when he comes out. He had never thought that one day he would kill so many 'people' on one day and then sign a contract with one of the most mysterious organizations in the world. He also never thought that he would witness such a heaven-shaking scene as he touched that mysterious stone. All this made Saksham very uneasy. He wanted to immediately run back home and sit with his parents and watch T.V or something.
With the relaxation came slight exhaustion. As his nerves also relaxed, Saksham wanted to rest a little. But he knew that it was not possible right now as it was Sunday. It was a family rule that on Sunday, Savitri, Arjun, and Saksham will sit down and have a family talk. They can talk about whatever they want, like about shopping, about school, about work. They can talk about anything and everyone has to listen patiently. It has been going on for the past 14 years now.
"You are back? How was the day at Ayush's house?" Arjun asked.
"It was alright. Will tell you more when we sit together to talk. I am going to take bath now. Let's talk when I am back." Saksham replied.
"Alright," Arjun replied lightly.
After replying, both Arjun and Savitri went back to watching News on the T.V. Saksham also went to the bathroom and prepared some hot water to bathe. After 15 minutes, Saksham came out feeling a little refreshed. After wearing some casual clothes Saksham came back to the hall and sat on the sofa opposite Savitri and Arjun. Seeing this, Arjun also switched the T.V off. Savitri opened her mouth first, "So, how was your day? What mischief were you two doing all day today?"
"Well, we both just played on PS4 most of the time. The rest of the time, we were just talking about the things about the final examinations." Saksham replied shortly.
"Talking about final examinations, how is your preparation for it?" Arjun asked.
"Well, I am being completely honest here, I am pretty much prepared for it. I am completely done with the NCERT books as well as some of the supplementary books too. I think all that's left at this point is the revision of each subject." Saksham said.
"So, anyone got anything interesting to talk about?" Savitri smiled.
Saksham suddenly snapped his fingers and ran to his room under the puzzled gazes of his parents. When Saksham came back, he had a pen in his hands. Looking at his parents' questioning looks, he smiled and said, "How about we play Truth, dare, and the situation today? It is a game we guys used to play. It is a really fun game. So, what we do is, we spin this pen and whoever this pen's tip points towards, that person gets to choose between telling the truth, or doing a task given by the joint decision of the two, or telling his opinions on a situation we give. How about it? Sounds interesting?"
Savitri and Arjun looked at each other and laughed. Arjun said, "You youngsters come up with many new games, huh. Well, let's play. Sounds interesting to me."
Savitri also nodded and said, "Don't you both dare lie to me when you choose the truth. If I catch anyone of you lying then…hehe."
As soon as Saksham and Arjun heard the wicked laugh from Savitri, both of them felt a chill down their spine. They immediately sat up straight and said with a zealous look, "How can we lie to the boss. You just need to ask and we are ready to even present our heart for you. But please don't ask, ok?"
Savitri snorted and said, "Hmph! Stop with the overacting and let's start. I have some questions for both of you."
Saksham nodded in a hurry and spun the pen lightly on the table-top. As the pen slowly slowed down, the tip of the pen was pointing towards Arjun. Seeing this, Saksham asked, "Truth, dare, or Situation?
Arjun thought a little and said, "Truth."
Saksham suddenly asked, "So, dad I always had this question I wanted to ask. You told me that you and mum had a love marriage but you never told me how you both met and how did it turn to love."
As Arjun heard this, his originally handsome face turned red slowly. Savitri laughed at the blushing Arjun. Arjun coughed a little and said, "Can I change my option?"
Before Saksham could answer, Savitri said, "Nope! You can't change your option now. Now, come on. Tell him how we met. He is eager to know."
Arjun smiled wryly as he heard this. He couldn't help but feel embarrassed when he thought about how he met Savitri. Saksham saw Arjun's embarrassed face and his was left wide open. It was like he had discovered a new continent. He had never seen his father blush like this. In his memory, his father has always been as stable as an old cow. You can say it was his first time seeing Arjun blushing. Now, he was more curious about how both his parents met.
After hesitating a little, Arjun opened his mouth and said, "We both met at a mutual friend's party. Alright, next turn. Spin the pen."
Savitri clicked her tongue and snorted, "Come on old man. Who are you trying to fool here? He asked 'how we met' and not 'where we met'. Spill it out already."
Arjun heard this and smiled bitterly. He couldn't avoid the question. He sighed lightly and braced himself. He said, "We both had a mutual friend, named Ramesh. On his birthday, he invited many people to have a big party in a 3-star Restaurant. We both were also invited. So, on the night of the birthday party, I drank a bit too much. At that time, I had no idea what I was doing or where I was going. I don't how, but I accidentally tripped on something and fell on somebody. And that somebody was your mother. This is how we met. Happy now? Can we move on to the next turn now?"
Saksham smiled at his father's words. He wanted to ask more but he couldn't ask as his father had already answered the question he asked. So, he was about to nod and spin the pen once again, but Savitri suddenly spoke, "Do you know what this old man said to me when he fell on me?"
Saksham paused and looked at Savitri with a puzzled look. At this time, Arjun suddenly stood up and said, "Woman, don't you dare say anything about that! Or else-"
Savitri smiled disdainfully and said, "Or else what? You won't eat dinner? Don't forget that today's dinner is your all-time favorite dish."
Arjun heard this and gritted his teeth and sat back down. Suddenly he turned his gaze towards Saksham and looked at him as if he would eat him if Saksham dared to ask anything more. Saksham was scared as he saw that look. Savitri's once again spoke, "Don't be scared. I will tell you if my turn comes up. I will choose truth and you can ask me then."
Saksham nodded quickly like a chick pecking on grains. He once again spun the pen and maybe even gods wanted to know what Arjun said after falling, the pen's tip pointed at Savitri. Savitri laughed at the result and said, "I will choose truth."
Arjun closed his eyes and pretended to be dead on the sofa. Saksham was also curious about what his father might have said so he asked, "What did dad say at that time when he fell on you?"
Savitri held in her laugh and imitated Arjun's drowsy voice and said, "Mom…what's for dinner today~? And you know this is still not the worse part. After he said this, he threw up all over me."
"HAHAHAHAH!" Saksham laughed hysterically.
