"H-Hey Sakshi, wh-what's going on?! What's happening there? How come all those bots aren't moving at all? Is there a bug in the system? Is that an ability of his? But didn't you say his ability just increased his physical strength? What's with these dual abilities?!" A man exclaimed in shock.
No one there was a fool who had just come in touch with the extra-ordinary world recently. They have seen and heard about a lot of abilities themselves. They could clearly see that the man in the hood had used some sort of illusion to confuse the bots. But the problem here was that a person who is awakened in [Physical Power], be it an Unusual or a normal awakened, they can't use their souls to attack. That's what [Spirit Power] users learn to use as they battle. That is also because [Spirit Power] users have soul power much stronger than other awakened. All the Unusuals who have awakened with higher soul power than others would find that their attack methods are basically something related to souls or spirit.
That's also why even though Unusuals have different types of abilities than normal awakened, the ones who have similar abilities to the normal awakened would follow the practice of those power types to grow stronger. For example- The head of IOEA is an Unusual with dual elemental powers. Although he is an Unusual, the path he practices belongs to the same as those normal awakened who practice Wind Attribute, and Lightning Attribute [Elemental Power].
Saksham's abilities belonged to the [Physical Powers], so his practice path should be the same as the [Physical Power] users, but for some reason, Saksham was displaying powers that should belong to the [Soul Power] users. These 2 powers are completely worlds apart with no trace of similarity. This has to be the first time they have seen a [Physical Power] user who also had an ability that attacked the soul. This reason was enough for them to exclaim in shock.
Sakshi also laughed bitterly. Now that she thought about it, she did read that he could use some sort of ability which could make it difficult for weaker people to even breathe. Although she read this, she didn't expect that it would be so different from what she read. Looking at the screen, she could only curse at the people who compiled such a BS report. She coughed light to relieve her embarrassment and said, "it is indeed one of his skills. There are no bugs in the system."
As they heard this, everyone once again started to look at each other in shock. Having such game-changing ability such as increasing the base strength to 250% was already enough for them to value Saksham highly but with the addition of the ability to attack souls, they were about to go mad. This was an absolute talent as well as a valuable piece for the country. If they could somehow use him when the country needed him then.....
Sakshi looked at the old foxes and shook her head. She knew what was going through their heads. Although she had similar ideas, but she knew that the person in question was not a simple person and from what she could understand about him, she saw that he didn't want to be fettered to an organization. She snapped her fingers and stopped their wild thinking and said, "He has already denied my 3 times about joining the partnership program. I don't think he will accept it even if you give him a lot of benefits."
Everyone quietened down as they heard this and sighed regretfully. Although they really wanted to get the person to enter IOEA, they can't force him if he didn't want to. That is the bottom line that the head of IOEA has given them. They once again shook their heads and focused back on the screen. One of them once again looked at the time. It has been 40 minutes since Saksham started the test. And this is a kind of threshold from where the test becomes harder. If someone manages to kill all the 100 bots, the number would once again reset to 1 bot, there will be a qualitative change in the strength of the bots that would spawn after that point.
The strength would be adjusted to approximately the same as that which the examinee used to deal with the 100 bots. Even the fighting style of those bots would change in accordance with the style of the examinee. They would try to take advantage of all the flaws that the examinee has shown till the time he/she slew those 100 bots. All in all, it would get so much harder every second.
_______________
Saksham cut the last bot's body into two halves and once again started sprinting ahead. Not long after, he saw the backs of the 3 bots that were still dragging a body. He could feel he was getting closer and closer. At this time, he saw a bot spawning right in front of him. He didn't bother to even look at the bot and threw a dagger straight towards the bot. But what he didn't expect was that the bot just ducked lightly and dodged the dagger coming straight towards its throat.
Saksham was puzzled as he saw this. How come this guy easily dodged his dagger? It shouldn't even be able to react to the speed. But somehow it still did and even dodged his dagger. Saksham recalled the dagger back and just slashed it horizontally at the bot. The result was the bot being cleaved in half without even posing a fight. But Saksham frowned looking at his hands. He could clearly feel the difference when he slashed the dagger at the bot. The toughness of the bot has increased significantly when compared to the earlier bots.
Saksham also realized at this point that the bots that would spawn next would get stronger and stronger. Thinking this, Saksham made a desperate run towards the back of the 3 bots not far from him.
_________
15 minutes later
Saksham found himself once again being surrounded by a crowd of bots. This time it was not as exaggerated as the previous 100 bots. There were only about 40 bots in front of him, but those 40 bots gave him an unprecedented pressure. In the previous 15 minutes, he slaughtered each and every single bot that came in his way but he found out each wave was stronger than the last. The last wave of 30 bots he faced had almost the same raw strength as him. All of them were in the realm of [Physical General].
While fighting them, Saksham found out that his [Dragon God's Dagger] was increasingly becoming weaker. It was not able to slash those bots as smoothly as he did at the start. Saksham could feel that even the edges of the daggers becoming rough slowly. He didn't know how long could his daggers last. All he could do was pray that the daggers would last for a while longer because he could feel that the chance of rescuing "Anitha" was close.
Saksham gritted his teeth and examined his body. Due to the absorption of the life force of the dead bots, Saksham didn't really feel much exhaustion, but he felt that he would not be able to use [Asura's Hell: 1st chapter] more than 2 times more. Although it is an amazing skill, it still had a limit of use. He had to somehow reach Anitha in the next 2 waves of bots.
Saksham changed the grip on his daggers and rushed into the crowd of the bots. He roared wildly and launched his skill [Asura's Hell: 1st Chapter]. Although the bots lost their fighting consciousness, he knew that it wouldn't last long as the bots were becoming increasingly stronger and increasingly resistant to his attack on their souls. He took this time to wipe out the whole crowd as soon as possible.
Just as Saksham had killed 15 bots with his fastest speed possible, he found that the other bots had started to move again. Saksham's face became solemn as he saw this. From the beginning to now, it had only been 7 seconds and this wave of bots was able to break out of the illusion made from the [Asura's Hell: 1st chapter].
But this was the least of his worries now as he found that 3 bots had already thrust their weapons towards him. Without having any chance to dodge, Saksham felt agonizing pain run through his abdomen and back.
Badump! Badump!
Saksham's grip on the daggers loosened as the dropped on the ground. Saksham also felt as if he was going to lose consciousness due to the inhuman pain he was suffering. This was the first time in his life he felt such kind of pain. He wanted to crouch down and pick up his daggers again but found out he was slowly losing control of his body. Even his vision was getting cloudy. Even though he knew that he wouldn't die, he still felt fearful at the thought of it.
Badap!
Not knowing when Saksham fell face-first on the ground. There was no movement from him. As the people who had been observing him, saw this, they felt really regretful. It had been 55 minutes. Just about 10-15 minutes more and he would have broken the record. As they turned their heads away from the screen and were about to discuss amongst themselves, they heard a strong alarm from the computer. Even the screen started flashing red again and again.
Sakshi saw this and was shocked. She immediately told the old man to see why was the system sending this alarm. But without giving him any chance to react, they heard an extremely hoarse voice coming directly from the computer.
