Chapter 31 - Why Should I Use Them The Conventional Way?

As soon as he came out of the alley, Saksham stopped running and continued walking in the normal way. He sorted out his clothes and then resumed his 'I am just a random person' walk. As he walked, he quietly said, "Hide any clues of me entering the alley."

"Are you sure you want to use 3 EP to remove every single clue?"

[Yes]/[No]

Saksham pressed [Yes] without any hesitation. He felt the familiar heat and the heaviness on his chest. But for some reason, Saksham felt that even after using 7 EP, the heavy and stuff feeling in his chest seemed to be less than what it should have been. Saksham shook his head thinking of it as his illusion. He then continued normally on his way to home.

Along the way, Saksham was thinking hard about the fight he just had with that [Soul Master]. After thinking about it with a calm mind now, Saksham felt that head-on fight with that [Soul Master] was probably the dumbest thing he had done. After reading all the things about the Power users, Saksham felt that it was necessary to use his powers in a conventional way. But that was not what is powers were. His powers were omnipotent so why should he follow a certain way to use them?

There is so much more he can do with his powers. Let's take the fight now for an example. What if, after killing the Blood Demon, Saksham used his powers to turn invisible for a minute or two. With how much EP he had, Saksham was sure he could afford going invisible. Or maybe, he could have used his powers to break Adhiraj's bones and then let him submit. Although Saksham was not sure if that would have worked, he can't deny that possibility too.

You can say that this fight has completely opened his eyes. There are almost infinite possibilities of how he can use his powers. Maybe he can even summon an item he saw in an anime, movie, or maybe somewhere else. Although he can't kill every single person with how much EP he currently had, but dealing with [Soul Master] shouldn't have been so difficult as it was earlier. In that fight, he didn'use brute force to kill Adhiraj, but used his brain. With only 6 EP left, killing Adhiraj and Gargantuar should have been impossible. But he still did it and for that, he used every single thing he could use. Similarly, if he uses his powers in a way that complements each other and tricks the other person, that way he can even kill someone of higher level.

Now, Saksham had decided that he is going to watch anime, movies and read some novels in his free time. That will definitely help him in his future fights. With every use of his powers, Saksham found that the chaos around him was getting bigger and bigger, dragging him in. For the past 18 years, he had never met any extra-ordinary person. But suddenly, he had been seeing them one after another. He couldn't figure out what this might be. In the end, Saksham shook his head and sped up his speed of walking. He was feeling very hungry.

At this moment, Saksham realized that he does not feel bad for killing any one. He just felt nausea from the smell of the blood in that hole, but from the beginning to the end, he had remained calm on the fact that he had just murdered a human. Although that person was not an innocent person, that doesn't negate the fact that he was a human. Saksham tried his best to bring out a shred of nausea on the fact that he killed someone but he failed. He really didn't feel anything. This is not normal at all. Saksham can't understand why does he not feel anything. Was it because he tried to kill me that there is no problem that I killed him? Yeah! This has to be the case.

Silently nodding to himself, Saksham threw this matter to the back of his head and thought no more about this. He had reached his home. When he knocked on his door, his mother opened the door with a worried face. As he saw that it was Saksham, the worry turned into anger. She immediately pulled Saksham's left ear and said, "Where were you? I called at Anitha's home and they said that you had left a long time ago. I was so worried about you!"

"Aahhhh Maaa!!! Don't pull that ear! I am really going to go deaf!" Saksham cried out.

Looking at the crying look of Saksham, Savitri still didn't leave his ears and asked, "Until you are not going to tell me where you were all this time, I am not going to leave your ear."

"I was walking slowly, Ma! Along the way, I saw Ayush and we both started talking and he invited me to eat. And that's why it took so long." Saksham lied without blinking an eye.

As soon as Savitri heard this, she was relieved. She left his ear and said, "Do you know how much worried you made me? These days, the cases of disappearance has risen a lot. People have been disappearing strangely. And you didn't come back home after so long. I was worried….that something might have happened to you."

As Savitri said this, Saksham could see Savitri's eyes getting wet. Suddenly Saksham felt pain in his chest. He immediately said, "Am I not here now? See, nothing happened to me. I am safe and sound. But I am really sorry for making you so worried, Ma! I promise this won't happen again."

Saksham hugged his mother like a Koala and said, "Now, I am really feeling hungry. What's in dinner?"

Savitri smiled as she patted Saksham's back, "Well, didn't you say that Ayush invited you to eat? How come you are hungry?"

Saksham pouted and said, "Well, I want to eat what you made! You can't stop me!"

Savitri laughed as she saw Saksham behaving like a child.
