Chapter 6 - Anitha

The girl we are talking about here is Anitha, Saksham's childhood friend/sweetheart. She is as beautiful and graceful as her name. When Saksham and Anitha were little kids they used to play together all the time. And since small, Saksham had a special place for Anitha in his heart. She was the most unique girl he had ever seen in his entire life.

If you ask how she was special, then we will have to go into the past for a moment. Little kids would usually cry many times a day for various reasons. Saksham was also like that. He used to cry when he was hurt, sad, angry, etc. But Anitha, she never ever cried when she was small. Even If she was hurt, she would just smile at him and once again play with him as if nothing happened. Not a single shred of pain would reflect upon her face. When she is angry, she would just smile and stop talking. When she talks to someone, she would always have a polite smile on her face. She never once talked in an angry tone with someone nor did she do anything to anger someone. These qualities melted Saksham's heart.

Her etiquettes were like a noble girl from a rich family but she was born and raised in a lower-middle-class family. How can she have such good etiquettes, this question still puzzles Saksham till now.

It's not that one cannot have good etiquettes if he/she is born in a poor family, but the problem here was that her family themselves didn't have good etiquettes then how could they have taught such to their daughter? Anitha's father, Ram, was also a coworker of Arjun and he was a pretty rough and straightforward man. He says anything that he has in his mind. He would also curse in front of his family if he is angry. And that's why Arjun and Ram were good friends as their personalities complemented each other.

As for Anitha's mother, she was an illiterate person. She had not learned much more than simple calculations like addition, multiplication, division, etc. So, Anitha's mother was also out of the question. Then how did such a graceful lotus grew in this muddy household? Even after thinking about it for years, he couldn't find the answer. So, Saksham just opened his book and once again started studying for the upcoming final exams.

____________

2 day later

Savitri was the first one to wake up today too. As it was a weekday, both Arjun and Saksham had to go to work and school respectively. So, she had to make breakfast for them. As she came to the hall, she saw the lottery ticket that Saksham had bought the day before yesterday, on top of the table with its Lottery no. facing upwards. Involuntarily, she saw the no. and felt weird. She remembered that yesterday night the ticket was not kept here. But now, it was on the table, kept as if intentionally put there so that anyone passing by could easily read the number.

"Could it be that Saksham kept it here to tell me to check the results of the lottery?" Savitri mused silently.

"Well, I have a little bit of time left then why not check the results."

Savitri opened the front gate and found today's newspaper. She took it and came back inside. She opened the page where the results of the lottery were announced. After she opened the page, she saw a small table with lottery numbers and prize money is given side by side. Only the top 5 lottery numbers were given prize money.

Savitri checked the 5th position and found out that this lottery number didn't match Saksham's. Then she went on to match 4th, 3rd, and then 2nd. Seeing that Saksham's lottery number had not won any of the prizes here, Savitri gently shook her head and gave up. As was about to stand up and leave for the kitchen, unintentionally Savitri's gaze fell to the lottery number of the 1st prize winner. When she looked at the lottery number, Savitri's body trembled and her eyes went wide. Her throat made a big gulping sound. After constantly staring at the number until her eyes hurt, she suddenly came out of her reverie and screamed hysterically, "Saksham's father! Saksham! We have made it big this time! Very big! 1,000,000! We have won 1,000,000."

[A.N- So, first of all, let's start with Anitha.

Anitha- This one is pretty easy. Just take the sound of "Money", and then remove the "M" from the sound. You will get the sound of "Ani". And then just combine it with "Ta". "H" is kinda silent here.

As for what Anitha means, it has different meanings such as [Grace] or even [Gift of God].

And as for how Ram is pronounced, it is definitely now pronounced the same as the [RAM] on the computer. It is pretty simple too. Just think of how you say "Round" and just take the starting sound of "Ra" from it. And add it to "M". That will sound almost exactly like an Indian saying Ram if said perfectly.

Ram or Rama was actually the name of the 7th Avatars of Lord Vishnu(The Preserver and Protector of the Universe) in the Hindu Mythology. His adventures, notably the slaying of the demon king Ravana, are recounted in the [Vana Parva] of the [Mahabharata] and in the [Ramayana], the oldest Sanskrit epic, written sometime in the 5th century BCE but with some later additions]
