Chapter 1 - The Beginning

Our town has five types of people; the rich, the poor, the stuck, the stupid and the magical. I'm sure none of you may believe me, you'd all say magic doesn't exist. You are wrong, magic does exist in different forms such as love, hate, friendship and earth magic. I was a normal person just like you until I met Grace. For years I dreamed of leaving this town, I didn't want to be like my ancestors. They had been scared to leave but I wasn't. I wanted to be different, I didn't want to be ordinary. I wanted to be extraordinary. When I met Grace I came to know that I was just like everybody else, she was unique. She was the girl of my dreams.

It all began the day Grace first came to town. My dreams started way before that. In all my dreams I saw her ripped out of my arms. Little did I know that I would be the one ripped from hers. That was just karma. That was fate. We were outcasts but we knew that we had each other. Nothing else mattered as long as we were together. Life without Grace would be unimaginable. So I went from the most popular to the least. I didn't care and I still don't. We had many ups and downs and rocky mountains to climb before we reached our happily ever after, but at least we did.

It all began the night before the first day of school. We were experiencing extreme weather changes, it was snowing in the middle of the summer. It has never snowed in Willow's, not even once. So what a surprise it was to everybody. My parents weren't at home as they had gone on a trip to discover the history of magic, somewhere in Egypt. In reality it was the backdrop in our town's library. When I first heard about it I begged my parents not to tell anybody, I was dating one of the most popular girls in our school. Emma Sails; the queen of Glam, leader of the cheerleading squad and one of the prettiest girls. What else could you ask for? I had been told. Emma was just like everybody else, she didn't have a personality of her own.

Something was missing , every time I was with Emma I felt a pang in my heart. It felt like my heart was yearning for it's pair and then the dreams started. It just didn't work I told Emma that I just couldn't be in this relationship anymore. It just made things worse, she accused me of cheating on her. Little did she know that my heart was elsewhere, it ached to be with it's soulmate. Just like a smile stretched its way across my face as I thought of her; my soulmate. I had to find her and I would most definitely do that after graduation. Little did I know that trouble was my constant companion.
