"Little Ren, No matter what they try to do to you I will be here for I am your father Xian Yun"
Those were the last words my father spoke to me before he was taken away. Six years old I was that day. All that was left of him was a small yellow coin. That coin was given to me as a gift on my fifth birthday. How happy I had been to receive that coin. The only thing I had received from him that year.
Broken out my day dream from my mother , Buyung Yun, asking me "What are you thinking about Little Ren?". She had dark brown hair with bright blue eyes.
"I was just thinking mother. No need to worry about me"
" Are you sure Little Ren? I will always worry about you. You are my son and I am your mother."
"Yes Mother, I am sure"
"Okay Little Ren, but don't be afraid to tell my anything. I will protect you from anyone who tries to harm you"
"Thank you Mother, I will always remember that. One day when I am stronger I will protect you from anyone who tries to harm you"
I smiled as she rubbed my head with a smile on her face.
"Yes you will Little Ren, Yes you will" As I started to walk away to my room she stopped me and said "Where are you going Little Ren you couldn't have forgotten about the Awakening Ceremony today"
"I didn't forget mother I was going to get ready" I lied quickly with my face starting to blush from embarrassment. How could I forget such a thing. The Awakening Ceremony is something that every 12 year old must go through to unlock their meridians.
The meridians are something inside of everybody that lets them cultivate their martial energy, but being blocked they're impossible to be used. That's why every twelve year old must go through the Awakening Ceremony. Meridians have four different ranking Low, Medium, High and Peak level. Low ranking meridians are the most common with peak being the rarest.
"Make sure to hurry up and get ready the ceremony begins in an hour" Mother said as she looked at me.
"Yes Mother, I will get ready as fast I can" I shouted back at her as I quickly ran to my room and took a quick shower and changed clothes. As soon as I finished getting ready I ran out of my room and down the stairs of my house. "Bye Mother I will be back later after then ceremony". I yelled as I ran out the door not waiting for a response.
As I ran through the streets I quickly found the ceremony surrounded by hundreds of adult and children. The ceremony was conducted by the town leader, a person at the Low Fusion Stage, who had the power to unblock the first meridian. When you unblocked the first meridian you can begin cultivating to unblock the other meridians.
"The Awakening Ceremony will now begin. All twelve year olds come up to the platform and make a line." The town chief said as we all started to to run forward to get in line. "First person in line walk to the center of the platform and stand there and the ceremony will begin"
As the people began to go I slowly moved up in line I started to pay attention as I was starting to get closer to the front.
"Wen Yang. Low Level Meridians"
"Xia Len, Low Level Meridians"
" Bai Yung, High Level Meridans"
The crowd erupted in to shouts as the town chief said this. Everybody was looking at Bai Yung in amazement wishing they had the same luck as him.
"Quiet down ever body, quiet down" Yelled the town chief. He himself was quite amazed at the results of Bai Yung.
'A youngster with High Level Meridians in this trash town?' Thought town chief.
"Next" yelled the town chief. I walked to the center of the platform hoping to get as good of a result as Bai Yung.
As I stood in the center I felt a pressure push down on me as the town chief started to clean my first meridian. As I felt my first meridian becoming cleaner I started to I try and circulate Martial energy into it.
"Ren Yun"
'Here it comes my results' I thought as he was about to say it.
