Irvene's point of view
The persons inside the room were the one's that I least expected to visit the castle. The almighty headmasters of Estrama and Salford family stood firmly before us.
"Sister, what's the meaning of this?" I asked.
Vaughn stepped backwards, although Sister Adelaine stopped him before he would leave this place. His face showed no emotion and Sid wasn't any different. I could guess what they are feeling right now. It's hatred towards their own parents.
After abandoning their own sons, I couldn't see a glimpse of asking for forgiveness in their eyes. All I could see is their desires to take advantage of them. They didn't deserve to take back their own sons!
"Ruler Mavien, hasn't Vaughn stayed in this place for so long? He has the right to came back on the Estrama's manor and uphold his responsibilities," the headmaster of Estrama family talked like nothing happened between him and his son.
"Mister Andre Estrama, why don't you ask him? Vaughn is not a child to force him on anything you wanted him to do and you have other sons to take responsibility in your household. Whether he will leave or stay must be his decision and it's the same to Sid Salford. No one must leave this place against their will and that's an order," Brother Mavien said. His presence showed so much authority towards the almighty headmasters of Estrama and Salford family.
"I won't come back to that disgusting place!" Vaughn said.
"My decision is the same and it won't change," Sid said. His cheerfulness couldn't be seen from him anymore.
"Their decisions are clear. I hope you won't visit here again to bother them," Sister Adelaine talked and she stepped towards Brother Mavien.
"If it wasn't for the former ruler who had taken away our sons, they wouldn't have left their own family and I suppose that you'll let us live with them to fix everything between us," the headmaster of Salford family said.
Brother Mavien laughed loudly after hearing what he said. Brother crossed his legs and rested his arms on the throne's armrest after that. "Let me tell you something. My father, the former ruler, had told me a wonderful story. The two abandoned child, both from a wealthy family, was taken by a king to live at a huge beautiful castle. They had been raised for many years and were given a bountiful life, and they hadn't been treated badly at the castle like some families out there. He told to his own son to not let those families take advantage of their sons before his death," Brother Mavien said.
The headmasters remained silent because of what he said.
"I'm leaving," Vaughn said. He turned his body and planned to leave when his whole body stopped.
"Vaughn! You're not going anywhere," I saw his father was pointing his hands at him.
What is that? Why can't he move?
"Stop, stop it!" I shouted.
"Don't meddle with our family's affair!" His father shouted at me.
"Mister Andre Estrama, I don't quite like your actions. Your family has nothing to do with Vaughn, so please leave this castle immediately," Brother Mavien stood up from his throne with his glowing eyes.
"Fine! We're not done yet," I heard him whispered towards Vaughn.
They stormed out of this room and I guess this would not be the last time that they would bother us.
"You, three, don't leave yet," Brother Mavien said. He came back on his throne
"Adelaine, give her the ring," Brother Mavien continued.
Sister Adelaine walked towards me and raised my hands, but I swiftly distanced my hands from her.
"I knew that. You'll restrict me from using magic again?" I asked.
I didn't like what's happening. I looked at them, pleading to stop their plans. My knees trembled and before my body fell down on the floor, Vaughn help me stood up.
"Irvene, we're not doing that, okay? It will only lock down half of your magic because we are worrying about your health. Think about it carefully, do you want your life to end without even solving this country's conflicts?" Sister Adelaine said.
That stood me frozen.
"Irvene, wear it. Don't worry, we will always stay at your side. You don't need to use all of your magic," Sid explained.
"Okay, I'll wear it," I said. I took the ring from my sister's hand and wore it myself.
I thought that they would finally let me use all of my magic powers, but they won't let me do that. This ring wouldn't be able to stop me if I decided to use all of it if something comes to worst.
Afterwards, we rested in our own rooms. I'm on my bed and I couldn't sleep. I stood up and walked outside my room, until I heard someone called my name.
"Meryll," I said. She finally came back after following that masked man earlier.
"Are all they asleep?" Meryll asked.
"Yes, but we can talk about what happened. I can't sleep," I said.
We walked outside the castle and sat on a bench. I told her about what happened earlier and I could see Meryll's displeased reaction.
"What about the masked man?" I asked.
Meryll crossed her arms and started talking. "He is telling the truth. I saw him brought the girl to her house and I followed him after that but, he didn't have any suspicious actions although, that masked man never took off his mask," she said.
"He didn't want anyone to know his identity." I said.
"You wear a ring," Meryll said. I saw her glanced at my silver ring. I raised my hand and showed it to her.
"I forgot to tell you. Brother Mavien gave me this ring which restricts me from using half of my magic," I explained.
"Oh, it must be hard for you, even though it's for your health," Meryll said.
We stayed there longer and talked about many things and came back inside the castle afterwards. There were many things that happened for today, but that won't hinder me from doing my plans and I won't ever run away like I did before.
