She woke up at sunset when the sky was painted with a hundred hues. The first thing she saw was Ji Yuxian.
The sunlight had filtered through the windows, and the warm gentle light entered the room. The windows were half-open, and the chirping sounds of the birds could be heard.
"You're awake?" Ji Yuxian asked, his mouth slightly agape.
Su Jiu blinked a few times. "Ji Yuxian, am I still alive?"
The girl sounded weak as she had been in a coma for a few days. Her voice was so hoarse that one could hardly hear her.
Ji Yuxian fed her some water and replied with a smile, "With your husband here, no one would dare to take your life!"
