The horse carriage slowly entered the large courtyard. It passed through the front courtyard and headed towards the area where the women resided.
On their way in, they noticed that the miners had already finished their meals, and were currently sitting on the ground to chat. Some of them had sprawled on the ground with their eyes closed, seemingly asleep. It would be another half an hour before the miners had to return to work at the mines.
Meanwhile, several dozen kitchen ladies were busy washing bowls and utensils in the cooking shack.
