About an hour went by before Radiant Sun completely calmed his excited heart. The older youth had told him about cultivators before and the power they had but he had never went into detail about how to cultivate.
Radiant Sun gradually entered the optimal state needed for cultivation.
Guided by the older youth, Radiant Sun used his mind to call out to the cosmic energy of the world. Time went on without any reaction. 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours. Hours soon turned to days. Days to months. Radiant Sun hadn't moved or opened his eyes once.
Since the beginning the older youth had always been silently sitting next to Radiant Sun. By this time the older youth's face was completely scrunched up as he was at a total loss. He had never heard of anyone taking so long to break into the Amateur level of Transcending mortality besides cripples or retards. Basically everyone could at least achieve this much.
Another month went passed.
"WOOSH!" The wind raged and started the older youth awake.
"We're in a cave, how could the wind still be so vicious in here?" The older youth thought to himself as forcefully opened his tired eyes.
With his eyes completely open, the scene before him greatly started him.
A cyclone had formed around Radiant Sun. A cyclone made up completely of cosmic energy.
Even he who considered himself an elite cultivator had never experienced a breakthrough like this before. Not to mention that Radiant Sun had never even cultivated before.
The cyclone became more and more fierce but even so Radiant Sun sat there seemingly undisturbed as his white hair danced in the wind that the cyclone created.
A little while later Radiant Sun's eyes suddenly sprang open, releasing a blinding golden light as the cyclone of cosmic energy wildly rushed into his body.
He absorbed every bit of cosmic energy contained in the cyclone before his eyes closed and he collapsed.
It was unknown if he collapsed from the burden of absorbing such a large amount of cosmic energy at one time or from not eating or sleeping for the last few months. Either way it would be hard for anyone to burden of these things, let alone both.
Another week went by before Radiant Sun gradually came to.
Immediately after awakening he felt something was off. His body didn't really feel like his own. Power coursed through his entire body. A power that he didn't know how to describe.
"You're finally awake, huh? If you would've slept any longer I might've thought that you died. A voice said from the entrance of the cave. Although he sounded so calm, the older youths mind was actually racing. His first time cultivating and he directly broke into the Extreme level of Transcending Mortality. What kind of sick joke was this?? Although he knew Radiant Sun had successfully became a cultivator, he had assumed the had only entered the Beginning level, not straight away jumping to the Extreme level.
.
Without looking up from examining his body, Radiant Sun started to reply "Big brother…" Before he could continue he abruptly cut off.
"My name is Alex. Alexander Valentine." The older youth said after coming to his senses after interrupting Radiant Sun.
A brilliant smile formed across Radiant Sun's face. This older youth had always been so mysterious. He never once mentioned his name or where he was from but now he could finally address this big brother of his. "So you finally decided to tell me your name, huh?" Radiant Sun said with a beaming smile.
"Naturally you can know my name now since you're a cultivator, before you weren't worthy." Alex said with a straight face.
Hearing this Radiant Sun's smile quickly faded, what replace it was a bewildered experience. "Fuck you"
"Sorry, I'm only interested in women" Alex said as he took a step back.
Black lines appeared on Radiant Sun's face. He was at a loss for how to respond.
Before he could think of a comeback to regain his pride, Alex had started gathering his things.
"What are you doing?"
"Preparing to leave dummy. Now that you're a cultivator we have to find you a teacher. I'm too lazy to teach you. Besides I need to focus on my cultivation as well." Alex said, while he continued to gather his things that seemingly disappeared as gathered them.
Radiant Sun's mind was too excited about leaving to question how these things were disappearing.
"So what's the plan, where are we going." Radiant Sun couldn't help being excited. This was going to be his first time going out into the world. He had been few times when he was younger but it only for a minimal amount of time as Alex only brought him out to get some supplies.
"While you were out of it, I went out to a nearby town to get you a congratulatory gift for becoming a cultivator. While I was there I overheard that the Broken Cloud Academy will be accepting new students 3 days from now. I figured that the both of us could benefit from joining." Alex said with a chuckle before throwing a pouch over to Radiant Sun. Radiant Sun's happiness had caused he himself to feel a little happy.
Radiant Sun picked up the pouch but he couldn't find a opening to it. He continuously flipped it and inspected it to no avail.
Watching from the side, Alex couldn't help but to burst out laughing before he suggested to Radiant Sun that he might have an easier time if tried sending in his perception into the pouch.
Following Alex's suggestion, Radiant Sun sent his perception into the pouch. What he saw was two pitch black swords silently floating in the pouches independent space.
Without waiting for Radiant Sun to react to his gift. Alex had already left the cave and started walking in the direction of the exit to the mountain range..
"The Broken Cloud Academy is approximately 2 days away, so unless you wanna miss it, I suggest you hurry up and follow me."
Radiant Sun nodded and no longer continued looking at the swords. He put the pouch on his side and quickly followed Alex out of the mountain range.
"This is the beginning." He thought to himself as he turned around and took one last glimpse at the distant cave. A smirk appeared on his face as he turned away from the cave for the last time, never looking back again.
