Chapter 2 - Prologue: Gods and Goddesses

2 HOURS EARLY

The Professor closed his eyes...

Only to open them again to find himself in a younger form standing on a large pool of water...

'I only have so much time.'

The rippling waters beneath seemed to cascade with his thoughts, spreading out from his appearance here. Taking his first steps into the surrounding white mist dressed in garments fit for a celestial, robes as white as snow made him look like that of a messiah, pure and untainted.

'Begin Origin'

The stable waters beneath his bare feet, began to flex, shifting by his command. Clearing the surrounding fog as the once-quiet ocean, became a stormy sea, churning upwards as temples broken by time started to rise from its depths.

'.. awake.'

Their remnants began to glow and float into the foggy sky, its once rotting appearance had been reforged anew... into devoted places of worship, which looked to be designed from each cultural background on earth. Marked by an aurora of the different colours one would find in a rainbow.

At the centre of this madness, the Professor stood on a circular stone platform, overlooking seven gates leading to each sanctuary, where formless beings stood, bowing to their master.

'Administrators, program 'Eden' will activate, and your domains will begin to become sanctified by the mainframe. I speak to you now, go and be the gods and goddesses of this new world. Protect your realms and seek the Keys...'

their voices emerging from the depths of these mysterious structures, erected from that of wood and stone... Their presences still deteriorated by the time they spent at the bottomless depths.

'I will not be able to join you, my children'

The world shook for a moment, and out of the fog, giant creatures stood masked by the haze, creating looming shadows from the abyss, entities of each temple who were awake and rebuilding.
