The sun already sets the moment I arrived at home.

"I'm home..... just kidding." Home huh?, I wonder if I can really call this home?.

This is the usual scene that passed in my eyes after those shitty school hours, an empty place. I turned on the light after I removed my shoes, I'm the only one who's living in this house that's why it's usually dark in here.

The first one to greet me are my pets after I stepped in, they really look hungry as they cuddle my legs. I bought them from a nearby pet shop nine years ago, these guys are more of a family to me if I say.

"Yeah, yeah....." I slowly walked to the kitchen to find some food for them.

As I walk towards the kitchen, Kuro still doesn't stop cuddling my legs as I walk. "Kuro" is a black cat, "Grey" is a gray-colored cat while "Fenrir" is a white fluffy dog, he's a Siberian Husky.

Wait..... Shiro's not here, Shiro is the white one out of this bunch of cats, she's usually the one who greet me first yet she's not here.

I wonder where did that girl go?..... well whatever I'm sure she'll be back if she get hungry.

After that, I feed these guys first and then change into my casual outfit I always wore inside the house.

"It's already eleven in the evening..." I muttered as I look at the wall clock in front of me, "Shiro is still not here."

I remove my earphones and finished the game I'm playing fast.

[Team Red: Victory]

After I heard the sound of my teams' victory, I put my PSP down on the glass table. Then get up from the sofa where I'm sitting quickly.

I need to find Shiro, it's already late... where did that cat go?.

"Woof! Woof! Woof!..." I looked at Fenrir who's barking at me.

How did I named this guy "Fenrir" again?. Ah, that's right I was reading some sort of book about Norse Mythology that time, I wonder what I'm thinking that time?.

"Don't worry... nothing's gonna happen to me." I caress his fur as I look at his jolly expression, I must be weird talking to a dog, there's no way he can understand human language.

After that I locked the door and quickly get out in a rush.

Then bring out the smartphone in my pocket, Shinjuku is pretty large after all so might as well use this.

In junior high, I build a tracking device when I cut classes one time and stayed in the school rooftop all the time that day, I'm glad the teachers didn't find me that time. And for some reason I finished building that tracking device even though connecting the circuits is kind of complicated.

And that time when I finished it, I thought to myself "where the hell I can use this for?.", I don't really have any uses for these tracking devices that I built that's why I just put it on my pets' collars, it'll be helpful in case they get lost is what I think that time.

Seriously, I didn't thought that I have to use this, well this is still useful in some situations so I think I made the right choice in keeping it.

"How did she end up in that place?." She's in some sort of abandoned place near a sketchy roadway.

I'm glad that I connected the tracking devices I built to my smartphone and not to my computer, a computer is too large to bring after all.

I followed the direction of the tracking device that is shown in my smartphone after that, she's not far but still I need to hurry because it's already late and I still have school tomorrow.

-15 Minutes Later-

So it's here huh?.

The roadway is really dark, it's hard to see what you want to find in here, that's why I thank the moon for being fully round and bright today. Also all the building in here and nearby are all abandoned.

This is the perfect place for thugs and criminals, and all those self-proclaimed gangsters. That's why it'll not be a surprise if someone suddenly hit me with a large bat from behind.

"I need to find Shiro quickly..." There's a possibility that I might get in trouble if I stay too long in here and basically that's the kind of annoying thing I want to avoid.

Oh, there she is, I'm glad that she's safe.

The moment I spotted Shiro, I run towards her and grab her from behind with my hands.

It's really unusual that she didn't react when I grabbed her, she must be preoccupied.

As I look at what she's doing.

"Hm?..." I wonder where did she get this?.

Maybe she's playing with this thing that's why she didn't notice where she's at.

Shiro is holding an orange-colored pearl and playing with it.

I rubbed her head softly after that, "I'm glad you found a toy, be sure to take care of-..."

What the?, my sense of smell can't be wrong, this is the scent of danger... blood.

Before I noticed it, my nose is filled with the scent of blood, and then after a few seconds a loud cry resonated in my ears.

It came from my front...

I couldn't care less about the one who cried or if someone is injured or even if someone died, but out of mere curiosity I lift my head and look at my front.

.....What the hell is this?, is this even real?.

From the games I played, I guess you can call this creature a Treant. It has an enormous size with violet-colored eyes, and the teeth that is located in his trunk are surprisingly sharp.

How did I know this?, this Treant is shamelessly eating humans in front of me.

The Treant's large roots is occupied with one human each root, they look like mere preys that has fallen from above and dropped into a standing spear. I absolutely know that no one in this bunch of preys are even alive.

The Treant is pulling out every person in his roots with his two large wooden branches that are technically used as hands, and eat every persons in a barbaric way, sometimes he tear the one he's eating into half and show me the way he eats them with his teeth, it look like he's eating french fries in a pack.

I know... I'm his next target, that's because of the way he stare at me while eating his preys with a stupid grin. I know that deep inside he's laughing that he spotted another prey, and that's me.

This seriously looks like a scene from a horror movie. The round full moon, a dark pathway, and lastly a ruthless monster, the place is also filled with pool of blood that came from the people that are being eaten, every time the Treant tear them apart like nothing.

Normally, a common guy would feel fear and despair in situations like these. Most of the time it would lead to the feeling that you can't move because of fear even though your body functions perfectly fine and also sometimes pissing in your pants.

But I'm completely different from that kind of people, I say I'm more or less amuse right now because of this scene, I can't even feel fear nor despair even though this is the first time I saw a person being killed and also a massacre in reality.

I don't even feel sorry about those guys being eaten, well I'm sure that mostly of them are just self-proclaimed bad ass gangsters that lurks and party at night.

.....Ah, he's gonna finish his eating session, might as well get out of here. I'm kind of lucky that he needs his roots to walk, because of that he can't pursue me for the reason he still has his preys on his roots.

That's why I still have time to run.

...But I thought Treants are the protectors of nature and earth, they're supposed to be harmless and gentle, that's what I read in some books. Then maybe I'll call this one a Dark Treant, I'm really a genius in naming things.

But still before this Treant finished eating his prey on his hands, I need to get out of here.

But all of a sudden...

The Treant was sliced in an instant... O, what happened?.

All of the Treant's roots, branches and other parts are cut into pieces and scattered on the ground, the Treant's green-colored blood started to flow out from his sliced parts.

Due to my instincts, I hide behind the nearest building beside me because I knew someone more dangerous than this Treant entered this vicinity.

"Slaying the Rampaging Treant: Completed..."

A girl with a long blonde hair separated into two bunches appeared. Her eyes has bluish color and she also a snow-like skin.

A foreigner?...

She wears a gothic lolita outfit that surprisingly compliments her petite figure and flat chest. She has an umbrella on her right hand that is somehow drenched in green-colored blood... it's possible that she used that umbrella as a weapon, maybe a sword just like those things in Animes.

"Yes, I'll make sure that I'll erase all evidence left in this area..." Her voice sounds serious.

So basically if I'm find out, I'll be killed. Ah, that's right I'm a substantial evidence after all, because of the reason that I accidentally saw this out of this world scene.

But I think she's an understanding kind of person, basing from the tone of her voice. So maybe if I come out and talk with her peacefully, I might survive and maybe she could give me information about what's happening in this world.

Yep, that's a nice pla-...

"Yes, I understand... if there's a witness, be sure to capture or kill it... I understand, I will not let anyone leave this area without your notice..."

Okay everyone, plan is canceled.

After that she dropped her left hand that is touching the part near her ears. I can clearly see that she doesn't have any earpiece, then she must be communicating using some kind of telepathic ability.

Well seeing a Treant slaughtering a bunch of people is is really amazing, so telepathic ability is not an exception.

Thereafter the girl said something to the wolf that is sitting besides her, I don't really know what kind of language is that because I haven't heard that kind of language before. Is that something new?, or maybe a command function to make the wolf move?, or maybe a code?.

The white-colored wolf got bigger all of a sudden and started eating every parts of the Treant and also all the dead people that are scattered all over the area, without leaving a single bit. So this is what they meant about 'Erase all evidence', that's really convenient.

In an instant, the wolf devoured every evidence in the massacre without leaving any single clues of the crime. This guy's really clean, I want to have a pet like that.

"What?!, there's someone in here..." The girl is kind of surprise and at the same time furious when she said that.

Isn't this bad?, how did they find out that I'm here?.

I don't think a tracking device caught me because I didn't have any contact with them, also that's basically impossible because I'm always aware of my surroundings and I never let my guard down.

Then it must be.....

As I look at the sky, there's a bunch of countless number of crows flying in the sky... just like I thought.

I swiftly entered the building where I'm hiding.

I don't believe that they have any radars because if she have one, she already tracked and killed me a few seconds ago. That's why I think it must be some kind of aerial device, but to think that they use crows, what are they?... magicians?.

Bird manipulation hmm?... that's really cool, I wonder if I can learn something like that too.

Now just hiding inside this building will solve this trashy problem, I just need to make sure that I will not be find out and make sure that the wolf doesn't smell my scent.

.......Looks like they started roaming the area.

-1 Hour Later-

After I make sure that no one is left in the vicinity, I exited the building.

The sound of stomping feet are already gone and as I look above, the crows that are flying around already disappeared.

"Did they give up?." Well whatever.

I look again at the crime scenes where the Treant died, they surely did clean everything.

I wonder who is that girl and what is she?. This day is really weird, it's like the fantasy and reality is combined for some reason. Well I just wish that I will not see that girl and those things ever again, it's better to stay away from trouble after all.

I then started exiting the area.

"Hey Shiro, where's that thing you're holding earlier?." Did she lost it?, or maybe did she eat it?.

She looks satisfied, she did really eat it but I'm glad she didn't choke or anything. This cat's really a pain in the butt, if I'm a normal guy I'm already traumatized because of these happenings. That's why I'm glad that I'm weird in some ways. Well it's not a bad experience but I'd rather experience that just once than twice.

But I wonder where did that Treant came from?, how did that wolf gets bigger?, who is that "gothic lolita chick?", and what I've been doing with my life?.

There's too many questions in my head that I don't even know what should I do with this.

Those scenes looks like it's took out from a light novel, there's really nothing good that happens when fantasy and present reality is combined. Well not that it matters, I just need to do the thing I can do to take the fastest way out and stick to the path I've always been taking. Even if it's fantasy or reality, 'Everything are just mere pieces for me to win.'

"Right, Shiro?." Ah, she's sleeping, she must be full and then end up sleeping, this cat's always like this.

As I walk towards home, I raised my head and look at the starry night sky.

And wished that I'll not end up like those light novel protagonists that always end up getting into trouble. Please let me continue my slice of life story without romance and adventure setting just like before.

"Ahhhhh..." I let out a loud yawn after that.

But still the possibility of that happening is 95%, so the thing I just need to do is rely on my luck.

"Ahh, I can't wait to get home and play games..."
