"Our Journey?" Amelia Questioned. Sucrose quickly shook her head from left to right as in denial; she could not bring herself to accompany Amelia on this path to the hall. "This is the end for me," Sucrose started, "I can't continue with you, if I do, I would be penalized much more severely than you guys would, so I'm calling it quits here. I'm not sneaking into the hall." Amelia looked at Sucrose before exhaling with disappointment. Amelia added, "Are you sure?" As she said this, Sucrose discontinued eye contact with her and turned to walk away from the group.
This was the end of Sucrose's assistance and it was up to Amelia and the others to find a way into the hall.
Looking in her direction, Carter points out to Amelia, "As much as you don't want to admit it, Sucrose has a point. It would be extremely difficult to bypass those guards and get inside of the hall without being seen." Amelia began to scratch her head, her thoughts bubbling with potential plans to aid her in getting to Apollo and Death. Suddenly, an abrupt quake from below interrupted her and startled the group. Even if only momentarily, the ground shook for few seconds before returning to an idle state. "I got it!" She exclaimed. Noah and Carter looked at Amelia in confusion. "Kinetic Freeze", she began before Noah interrupted. "Kinetic Freeze?" he said. "If you're planning on attacking the guards, then you can forget it. They're much stronger than you and I, so there's no way that we could defeat them."
"That's not it." Amelia started. "I'm not going to attack them, but my Kinetic Freeze may be the key to getting us past them, just hear me out."
Both Noah and Carter crossed their arms in lack of sureness, readying themselves for whatever plan Amelia was about to explain.
"You see." Amelia began. "I'm still trying to understand what Kinetic Freeze truly is, but that moment, when I saw how Sucrose used her ability gave me an idea. These things I control, what if instead of slowing them down, I speed them up really quickly and not just a few at a time; I mean all of them, all at once, like they're vibrating?"
"What?" Noah asked.
"The ones that make up my body, I think if I'm able to move them fast enough then the guards won't be able to see me. It'll almost be as if I'm invisible!" Amelia responded.
Rubbing his chin, Carter nodded at the idea. "It sounds good in theory, but how can you be sure it'll work?" he asked.
Amelia held our hands, focusing all of her Energia into the center of her being before her body began to vibrate vigorously, progressively speeding up to the point where she appeared to have vanished to both Carter and Noah.
"Amelia?" Carter called.
Carter heard a response from behind him, startling him for a second. "I'm here." she answered.
"That's actually really impressive." Noah began. "To be able to move your body that fast. However, can you cause the same effect on other objects, like other people for instance. Carter and I would also need a way to bypass the guards."
"I'm...not sure," she responded. 'I didn't think that far ahead, but it wouldn't hurt to try right?"
The invisible Amelia slightly grazed the shoulders of her two comrades before their bodies also began to vibrate at high speeds. Within seconds, the two of them had appeared to become invisible, but in actuality were still there.
"Amelia, you did it!" Carter exclaimed. He proceeded to pat the invisible body that stood in front of him on the head, meanwhile praising Amelia. "I'd say that was a job well done."
"Carter, this isn't Amelia," Noah said with unease.
Quickly jerking his hand back, Carter gave off a look of embarrassment that nobody could see. "Don't you guys think we should begin to go now?!"
Amelia and Noah laughed before the group settled down and began to approach the guards, sneakily creeping past them ever so slowly as to not rustle a single blade of grass. "Easy now, almost there," Amelia thought.
THUMP!
A loud thud echoed through the air as Noah had tripped over his foot, falling to the group creating a sound right behind the guards.
Both of the guards quickly turned as they heard the thump from behind them, only to find that nothing was there or so it appeared. "Am I hearing things?" the first guard thought. "You heard it too?" the second one asked. "Yeah." the first guard replied.
Lying on the ground, trying not to move, Noah began to sweat intensely, nervous that he would get banished from Fortitudo if gets caught.
Amelia and carter had already crept past the guards and were a few meters ahead of Noah, waiting on him. Luckily, the boy had fallen forward onto the stone slabs of the hall, enabling him to slowly crawl towards where he thought his friends were, exerting the most amount of effort possible to be as silent as possible.
