Chapter 2 - Day 1- back to when everything was normal

Aliyah looked at herself on the full body mirror. Her appearance was starting to change. It wasn't long until she could no longer control it. She needed help but have no idea where to get it from.

Her attention switched towards the window when she heard people from outside laughing. She walked towards it and slowly moved the curtain. There she saw a couple of teenagers hanging out with no care about the world. She was like them a couple of months ago, before when everything was normal...when she was normal

The alarm screamed throughout Aliyah's room. She forced her eyes to open only to close it again when she saw that it was still dark outside. Her f*cking alarm was really starting to get on her nerves. She always sets it up for 7 am but for some reason, it decided to do it 2 hours earlier. She took a mental note to return it to the store first thing first after school as she slowly let sleep took over.

" Ali!! Ali open this god damn door! " a loud voice coming outside from Aliyah bedroom matched with the loud knock on her door.

Aliyah opened her eyes only to be blinded by the light coming from her window. She shut her eyes and frustratedly slam her face on her pillow. She rolled in bed making sure she was perfectly wrapped by her blankets. She was about to let sleep took over when she was again interrupted by the loud knock coming for the door.

She groaned in frustration. " Nicky! For Christ sake, shu-" she couldn't finish what she was saying when her cousin Nicky interrupted her

" Ali your mom is gonna be home in half an hour, if you still want to... " she couldn't hear anything else Nicky was saying. Her brain automatically went fight or flight mode as soon as she heard the witch is coming home. In less than 10 minutes, she swiftly changed to her school clothes, put her hair in a bun, and splashed some water on her face.

She didn't bother to fix her bed because she knew once her mom, more like her witch step-mom, finds her home she's better dead.

She was just about to grab her backpack when she heard the garage opened. "Fuck" she whispered, 'so much for half an hour Nicky' she thought to herself while rolling her eyes.

She looked at her window. She knew she had no other choice, it was her only way out without getting caught.both of the outcomes are bad. If she gets caught, her ears are definitely gonna bleed from all the nagging and more reason for the witch to have a better chance to kick her out. On the other hand, if she decides to go through the window, she might break a few bones or worst...Hmm the window it is

She opened the window and the cold breeze immediately brushed her face. She weirdly felt a weird chill passed throughout her whole body and decided to shrug it off and continue with her plan.

It's now or never.

She peaked at how far the ground was.it was farther than she anticipated 'Oh fuck I'm screwed. '

She looked at her bedroom door when she saw the doorknob moved. She shut her eyes trying her best to gather as much courage as she can, she was about to jump when she heard a loud bang coming for her neighbors backyard. Her eyes met with the unfamiliar guy who, unlike her, has successfully jumped from the window. She knew there was a new family who just moved in next door, but never really gave a fuck until now. the guy had black short hair, matched with his gray eyes. They looked at each other for a few second before both looking away.

Aliyah looked back again when she realized the guy had a rope in his hand.

"Pssst" she said Repeatedly trying her best to get his attention

The guy looked at her pissed and raised his right eyebrow.

" what? " he asked extremely annoyed while using one of his fingers to motion her to be quiet. Aliyah pointed at the rope he was holding, the guy looked at her with an even annoyed expression.

" the fuck is wrong with this guy" she whispered to herself. She frowned at him. Here she thought she could actually get some help from him

The guy's annoyed face slowly changed into a teasing smirk while pointing at the rope he was holding. He looked at Aliyah one last time before obviously dropping the rope on purpose.

Aliyah jaw dropped as her eyes followed the rope until it reached the ground. Her face started to turn red from anger. The guy looked at her amused

He did not just- what a f*uckin a**hole

She gave him a middle finger which the guy only laughed at. He waived goodbye to Aliyah with a huge smirk on his lips while jumping out of the backyard fence and successfully reaching his car.

Aliyah stood at the roof still feeling like her heart was going to explode with so much frustration.

Her eyes widened when she saw her room's doorknob slowly turning. She shut her eyes. She tried her best to convince herself that she isn't scared but failed immediately. What the f has she gotten herself into. Aliyah whispered "fuck it", shut her eyes and jumped. As soon as she jumped, her door opened revealing a woman in her late 60s. Her makeup was ridiculously thick and has , as Aliyah would called it, a resting ugly face. The woman looked around the room disappointed when she saw no Aliyah on sight.

Aliyah felt a strong wind pass her while she awaited her painful fall. But nothing. She opened her eyes and found herself steadily standing on the ground in front of her house. She stood there shocked at what just happened. Actually Aliyah had no idea how the hell she was able to reach the ground with no injuries whatsoever. it took her a minute to get back to her senses and just convinced herself that maybe her legs were just stronger than she expected. It was quite windy outside anyway she told herself. It was probably the only reason from the chill she felt before.

Aliyah started walking towards her school, which would usually take her 10 minutes to get to. She touched her hair when she felt the hair tie loosened. Weird she just fixed it awhile ago. She shook her head and started fixing it. It's just wind she convinced herself as she continued walking.

She was too distracted to notice a short black hair was caught in her backpack. Before she could acknowledge the unfamiliar hair on her back, nature already removed it through the cold wind.
