However, she knows Rhys well now. He won't even look at another woman for more than a few seconds now. In his eyes, there is only her.
Seeing that he was still looking at her and not doing anything, Lyn frowns and she wraps her arms around his neck. This immediately earned his attention and he laughed.
"Are you making the first move?"
"It's because you're slow." Lyn complained.
The minute she said those words she felt a familiar sensation on her lips. Even though he was the one who initiated the kiss, Lyn responded and managed to take control for a few seconds. During those few seconds Lyn is reminded of how much she enjoys kissing Rhys, and how these lips only belong to her.
Rhys drew back breathless. "You're really amazing. When did you learn to do that?"
"Hm? Obviously you taught me."
Rhys bit her lip and she glared at him. "Are you sure about that?"
Lyn immediately understands what he is referring to. "Let's not mention Raven now okay?"
Rhys responds by kissing her again. This time, he took full control and didn't give her a chance to do anything. Lyn didn't mind, she enjoyed his kisses. She enjoyed how he knew exactly what she wanted. Amid all this kissing, she knew Rhys was slowly removing layers of her clothing.
"You know, I've always hated how they designed western outfits. Do they have to make the designs so complicated?"
Lyn laughed. "But the skirt is shorter now, I thought you'd be happier."
Rhys grumbled as he placed kisses across her stomach. "It's still annoying."
She runs her fingers through his red hair, her pretty red. It took her time to adjust to his vibrant red hair, but now that she has, she can't help but stare at it. It's so beautiful, she has never seen such a bright hair colour before.
"Lyn, are you sure about this?" Rhys asked.
It was a stupid question and they both knew it. She slowly nods her head and Rhys removes the rest of her clothing. She shuddered feeling the cold air. They will truly be fighting in terrible conditions, if it's this cold inside, outside will be a lot worse.
Lyn fumbled with his sash and undid it, causing the material to slip on the floor. She lips her hand inside causing him to groan. Hearing that noise, she removes her hand.
"No, keep doing that." Rhys grunted.
She felt her cheeks colour hearing his reply. Uh, maybe she ought to have checked first on how to do this. She acted very confident before. But, even if she does have 'desires' she doesn't actually know what to do.
This is so embarrassing, how could she freeze up now? If she knew this would happen, she would have studied a bit more or asked the maids for advice.
"What's wrong?" Rhys asked.
"Um, don't laugh. I don't actually know what to do." Lyn said nervously.
Rhys pauses and nods. "I don't actually expect you to know. The previous times, you've just gone with the flow."
"T-then-"
She felt a gentle kiss on her forehead. "Do you trust me?"
"Yes."
An act between two lovers to convey their deep emotions. Sometimes actions speak louder than words. Although there are
....
Lyn understood that even though both of them had spent a passionate and emotional night together, both of them shared the same thoughts. The battle against Jen may be their last. No matter how strong they both are, there is a high chance of failure.
So, it isn't surprising when both of them wake up before dawn.
The events of last night remain fresh in her memory, even though they only did it once. She still felt it, almost like it had just happened. After they finished, she felt emotional and Rhys had whispered sweet words in her ear as she snuggled into his warm embrace before falling asleep. She truly felt content.
The absence of warmth caught her attention, and she scrambled out of bed panicked. He didn't go ahead without her did he? Scanning the room for Rhys, she hears a sound coming from the bathroom. Lyn peeks her head in the door and sees Rhys there.
The reason for his absence being clear, and she sighs in relief.
Rhys turns to her with a smile. "Hey, I figured since there is still some time left. I thought we would bathe together."
"Together?" Lyn repeated.
"Mm, together."
Like an obedient bunny she walked over and Rhys lifted her onto the bathtub. She was still naked, so there was no fuss needed about removing her clothing. Rhys slipped off his robe and joins her.
For the first few minutes neither of them spoke, and Lyn understood why. They both had a lot on their minds. The battle with Jen will not be a simple one, even with the three of them fighting her it will be difficult. According to Ark's report, the demon that possesses Jen isn't a normal one. It's a demon from ancient times and thus he has a large capacity of mana.
Lyn's gaze fell towards Rhys who was carefully washing her hair, scrubbing her scalp gently.
"Rhys." Lyn mumbled.
"Hm?"
"Children, how many would you like?" Lyn asked.
Even though they both agreed on working on this after the war ends. She wants to know how many is suitable. Rhys treats her very well, but it's hard for her to imagine what he would be like around children. He probably doesn't want to have too many.
Rhys gaze is tender and Lyn felt her heart beat increase seeing his smile. He always makes that type of face when she mentions children. Does he truly want to have children with her?
"At least five."
Lyn's face turned scarlet hearing him say an exact number. She didn't actually think he would reply.
"I mean if you think about it, the more children you have the more stable the Empire will be. At least three boys and two girls. Or if you want a balance we could have six."
The more Rhys spoke the more embarrassed she became.
Rhys kisses her nose. "Hey, if you turn anymore red you will explode."
"B-but um, you actually thought this through?" Lyn said dumbfounded.
The number aside, he is even giving a reason why they need to have that many. Does Rhys truly want to have children with her? It feels very strange.
