That is why she doesn't want to rush, she wants to take her time. For now Jen is quiet, she ought to take advantage of this opportunity. The opportunity to understand exactly what she wants from Rhys- well as for what she currently wants from him. She doesn't mind being kissed or treated affectionately like this.
Rhys pushed her thighs apart and she looked at him alarmed. But he sealed her lips with another gentle kiss.
"I understand my Queen. But, will you at least allow this?"
"I will."
After kissing like that for a few minutes, Rhys eventually let her go. She turned to the corridor only to find it empty. There is no doubt that those maids will spread rumors. She wouldn't be surprised if everybody in the castle hears about it by this afternoon.
If the news reaches Kazuya, will he stop avoiding her?
' That's so petty of me. It's not like I kissed Rhys to get back at Kazuya.'
Lyn sighed deeply, this situation is giving her another headache. To think up until recently she only had war on her mind. Now her thoughts have been taken over by Rhys.
"What type of work do you have today?" Rhys asked as he brushed his large hands across her forehead. He was muttering something about her having a light fever.
"There isn't much left. I have to meet a few nobles but other than that I'll probably be doing paperwork in my office."
"Make that your room. I want you to rest properly."
"Will you be joining me?"
"I shall, but I need to head to the office for a bit."
That's right, when Rhys became the ambassador he formed a group called the '.'
"Then, I will be looking forward to your cooking."
Rhys chuckled. "It seems the best way to your heart is food."
Lyn felt her cheeks flush at his words.
"I-I don't think so."
But it's true that ever since Rhys cooked for her, she has been craving meals made by him.
"I think so." Rhys brushed his forehead against hers. "I don't mind cooking for you. I hear from the servants that the past few years, you haven't been eating very well. You even ended up diagnosed with an eating disorder. So, I'm delighted that your satisfied."
".."
The reason for her eating disorder was deep down she always felt that there was something missing. She was making great changes to the Kingdom alongside Kazuya, but something was wrong.
"I haven't had breakfast yet."
"You haven't?" Rhys looked at the large clock in the center of the room. "I still have some time."

'I have already lost count of how many times I have invited him to my room.' Lyn looked at Rhys who was making a meal in her mini kitchen. This is a strange sight, and yet at the same time it feels familiar. She tilted her head. Although she has regained her memories from the past, and understands that she liked Rhys. There are some parts that are still blurry to her.
It did not take long before Rhys finished and he is placing dishes on the table.
"It's only smoked meat, sorry. There isn't much time to make anything fancy."
"No, it smells delicious." Lyn took a bite of the roasted chicken and her eyes brightened.
"If you don't mind, I'd like to cook for you everyday."
"Huh..?" Lyn stared at him with wide eyes. Seeing his worried gaze she shook her head. "I can't possibly trouble you."
"Why can't a husband cook for his wife?"
"Husband.."
Rhys lips curved to a smile. "Yes?"
"I--I want some water."
He briefly pulled away from her and picked up a jar of water before pouring it into the glass. He raised it to her lips. "Careful."
"I-I can do it myself." Lyn tried to snatch the cup from his hands. But it only led to their hands brushing.against one another. Startled Lyn ended up causing the cup to drop.
The moment the cup shattered on the ground
Rhys bent down and kissed her.
"Rhh-ys."
She couldn't think straight. Her mind felt like it was turning into mush, the more they kissed, the more it felt like she was losing herself. She didn't care about the future anymore, all that mattered to her was the present.
"It seems you still like kissing." Rhys mumbled.
"I think I like it more because it's from you."
"You should have been honest from the start."
"I'm stubborn, remember?" She played with his hair. "Rhys, don't you have somewhere to go?"
"Hah, don't remind me. I'd like to stay like this a bit longer."
"I like men who work hard."
"I see. But I could work hard doing this."
Lyn pushed his hands away. "Mr director of the famous information guild. Shouldn't you know what your priorities are?"
"Says the Queen inviting a strange man into her room and letting him enter her sheets." Rhys nibbled on her lips.
"You're such a tease."
"That's my line, what are you doing to me?"
They spend the next few minutes kissing when Rhys eventually pulled away. Lyn watched as he fixed his clothing.
"Will you be staying in your room now?"
"I suppose I'll have to."
'It's strange to see how quickly he changes. Just now he was very passionate, but now he has that serious look on his face again.' Her thoughts break off when she felt something come in contact with her forehead. It was his lips, he had gently placed kisses on her forehead.
"I had a good time. I'll be seeing you later?"
"Yes."
The moment Rhys left she slumped on the bed. Lyn closed her eyes attempting to sleep but it did no good. She felt restless and her heart was still beating fast. Her entire face felt warm from all the blushing she did, and her lips-
'I truly must have gone crazy, but I want him so badly.'
She wants him more than she has ever wanted another person. 'I wonder, since when did I start having such strange feelings?' Since when did she start to desire another person?
'Mother, is this how you feel towards father? Is this why you never returned?'
A few years ago she received a report that confirmed that her mother, was indeed alive. However, she burned the report and made sure that there were no other witnesses. If people realise she is alive, then they would surely go after her. After all even now people see Mother as the only candidate to become the Empress.
'I can't replace her.'
