I'm am willing to bet that I am amongst the top 0.01% of users with the most tabs open on a mobile device. It has been literal years since I've been to see a number regarding the tabs counter.
Occasionally I'd clean it up a bit and casually clear a few hundred tabs but that barely scratches the surface.
The easiest way to tell if you have a similar problem, is if it's way faster to access a newer tab by using the create a new tab feature rather than scrolling all the way back down.
Currently it takes 57 seconds of max speed scrolling to get from my newest tab to my oldest. I'd really appreciate a feature to reorganize tabs (on Chrome mobile) as it can get really annoying to search for an older tab. Although muscle memory can't be developed as the number of tabs you need to scroll is a constantly changing variable, my visual recognition memory has been trained a decent amount.
