Chapter 1 - Intro: Entropy

_____

This book is a guide to Entropy, Chaos and the many realms and existences within it. The book is incomplete and will be updated from time to time. It is mainly to be used as a guide for those interested in the stories happening within though the time it would take to write down all the possible information is immeasurable The Author will attempt to put as much information as is possible within it. For more specific stories observe the other works of The Author.

_____

Entropy is the basic form of reality. It is a highly unstable, constantly volatile area filled with untamed Chaos. This leads to random realms coming into and out of existence at random times. Entropy is simply the natural state of reality and constantly creates Chaos. Entropy cannot be destroyed or made as it exists everywhere, at all times. However it is the Chaos that leads to unstable reactions

The Chaos that comes from Entropy is a natural energy that can be harnessed by sentient creatures. Those creatures are called Entropists due to them drawing their Chaos from Entropy.

Realms are areas either created by Chaos coming to a balance by randomly restricting itself due to the randomness of its existence or being forced to follow rules set for it by Entropists. The currently known realms are: Sanctum, Black Plains, Sunrise/Sunset, White Plains, Beast Realm, MidLands, MadLands, Crainvir, Shingrah, Culnear, Harth...

Many Entropists have their own realm however others have no realm to their name and chose to roam free within other lands. This does not mean they are weak, on the contrary, they are the strongest Entropist in general. They are, however, at the mercy of the Entropist who controls the realm they currently exist within. As a result most Entropists without realms tend to roam ownerless realms. AN example of one such realm are the MidLands. All Entropists will be mentioned in the following section.

_____

Souls are seen as the currency between most Entropists. Souls are rarely made as they generally come into existence when someone reaches the level of Entropist an no other time. It also occurs when a new life is formed in a realm and there are no free souls. Free souls are the souls of people who have died, they generally remain in the realm they died in unless the realm is destroyed or they are traded to other Entropists. All Entropists have minds developed to levels uncomparable to humans but still suffer from the restrictions of conscious thought when it comes to reality. As a result, Entropists generally require souls to create variety and not go insane due to their proximity to the final layer of reality, that layer being Entropy.

The Alliance of Neutral Entropists Land (ANEL) is a group of Entropists that have gotten together to establish several things including an area where Entropists can go to sell and buy different things. It is not unusual to see Realms for sale there, or souls of a specific race. There are also many other things on sale there made by the many Entropists and the market is always very vibrant with life. The ANEL was established due to the fact that the lonely and bored Entropists have approximately 30% chance of killing themselves every year due to insanity brought on by Entropy. The large majority of souls within the realms will never learn of Entropy and the ANEL as they are seen only as gods, if known at all.
