"WHAT HAPPENED HERE?" all of them asked at the same time and lunged towards where the two were sitting.
When they reached beside the bench, they saw that Dheer had a swollen eye and noticed the presence of one more person there. She was a young girl who was about eighteen or nineteen years old and looked a little troubled.
Taking in the entire scene there Sam asked once again "What happened Anaya?"
Just then a young man in his early twenties came running with an ice pack. He was panting and covered in sweat. His hands were trembling when he handed the ice pack to Anaya.
Anaya quickly snatched the pack from his hand and glared at the young man.
On receiving the glare, he flinched and quickly dragged his girlfriend from there and escaped from there before she started her attack mode again.
*****Fifteen minutes later*****
"Hahaha... I can't believe this.... Ahahaha" Elisa was having a hard time breathing to the continuous fit of laughter she was having. They were all seated in a small family restaurant with a self-serving system in the mall.
Dheer's other friends were in no different position than her. They too were having a hard time controlling their laughter. Who wouldn't after seeing Dheer's current condition?
A beaten, and sulking Dheer with blue swollen eye was sitting in front of them while Anaya had an apologizing look on her face. Even Rudra was snickering at Dheer's condition.
"So you mean to say that you got your makeup done by our Anaya when you tried to stop her for kicking that young man?? Oh, come on Dheer!!! Do you think she is capable of throwing such a powerful punch?? She's so delicate." Rehan asked as he sat on a chair beside him as he came after placing an order.
Before Anaya could say something, Rudra answered "Don't go by her looks. She's much stronger than she looks and that strength combined with her anger is nothing less than a nuclear weapon"
Dheer sulked even more. He was happy that Anaya showed him her angry side and he gets to hug her even if it was for stopping the fight but when he came to know the reason why she was angry, all his happiness turned into something bitter.
" You idiot! There must have been a better way to stop her than placing yourself in between them. What were you thinking? So tell me how did it feel after you took that punch for that boy?" Arav asked patting Dheer's shoulders and laughing.
Dheer flinched. Although his face was swollen, Anaya had used her hands and legs at the same time injuring his face and body at the same time. His face and upper body were hurting like hell right now and Arav's pat hurt him even more. But he didn't show it on his face because Anaya was already feeling guilty seeing his face.
He secretly scowled at Arav, warning him not to pat him so hard on his already achy body. 'So much to pay just to get to hug Anaya once.' Dheer sighed.
"But still. You should have been careful Dheer. There are better ways to save a damsel in distress" Sam laughed as he said. Others joined him too while Dheer scowled.
On seeing Dheer's condition, Sam finally stopped laughing and said "Now, Now... let's have lunch. It's better to eat here than to go home and cook. After that let's go back so that u can rest." Sam said in a gentle voice. He pitied Dheer. All their plans to get them to spend time together were ruined now. And on top of that Dheer looked horrible.
After a few minutes with everyone's lively chattering, Anaya felt a little better and less guilty and joined in their conversation now and then.
As they were busy chattering, Anaya's phone which was placed on the table, chimed. As Anaya was lost in the conversation she didn't notice it. However, when her phone blinked, Rudra, who was sitting by her side caught a glimpse of the context of the message and picked her phone. His eyes shone at the message.
Dheer frowned at him as he unlocked her phone using his fingerprints and read the message.
"How about he loves to sleep naked?" Rudra raised his brows as he read the message aloud. "What's this ducky?? Why would Dr. Shah send you a message like this?"
Anaya smacked her head as she heard the message and her ears turned red. She then peeked at Dheer wishing he would disappear from there somehow. Dr. Shah was at it again.
One look at Anaya and Dheer knew what was this about. He was already unhappy with how things progressed today and this message added fuel to the fire. He was now at end of his calmness. 'This oldie is still at it. God!!! why is he so interested in divorcing Anaya with me' he fumed inwardly, taking deep breaths to keep this calm in front of Anaya.
Rudra took in the entire shift in Dheer's composure and how he was barely keeping his serenity. He snickered 'Dared to play with my ducky's feelings and now you are trying to get back with her? Dream on!! You think we will let you?'
Rudra had already sensed that Dheer had fallen for Anaya and was now trying to win her heart. He mentioned it to Sandy and they were both having doubts if this was the case as Dheer still divorced her in the end. So believing Rudra's instincts they made a plan to confirm their doubt.
These past few days Rudra tried very hard to keep Anaya away from Dheer and he could see Dheer's increasing restlessness and how hard he tried to get near her. He finally confirmed his doubt today when Dheer's friends tried every way possible to let them spend some time together. As if he would allow it.
He knew that Dheer was a good man judging from Anaya's words but he still broke Anaya's heart. So there was no way they would make his life easy. If he has fallen for Anaya then he must prove himself worthy of her to them first. This time they will decide for their best friend to protect her from any more heartbreak.
If Dheer wants to get back in Anaya's life then he would have to pass their exams first. Rudra and Sandy are the wall he has to cross to reach Anaya's heart. And they would go to any lengths to find a worthy partner for their Naaya this time.
