Chapter 63 - Birthday night

After a long day at the hospital, Dheer and Anaya got ready for mama Oberoi's birthday event and headed to the rendezvous.

They discussed that day's events throughout the way and decided to come with a new plan after the camp was over.

Anaya was worried about Dheer and said to him concerned "Dheer, are you alright? I will talk to Mama Oberoi about our divorce. You don't have to worry."

Hearing her words, a pain aroused in his heart but he kept his calm and answered giving a half-smile "I'm fine Anaya. Don't worry about me. And you don't have to talk to mom. I will. After all, it was all my fault."

"Stop blaming yourself Dheer. It wasn't your fault. You were a victim too. And I will talk to mama Oberoi or you will blame yourself in front of them too and I don't want that to happen. Discussion over." Anaya said sternly not giving him a chance to refute.

Soon they reached the gates of the mansion.

****Oberoi Mansion****

As the Oberois liked to maintain low key only the closest friends and family were invited to the party.

Everyone had arrived and were enjoying each other's company and having fun.

Sharon Oberoi badly wanted to talk to Dheer about the result of their plan. She wanted to know if he was getting divorced or not, but due to the presence of so many guests, she wasn't able to ask him throughout the party.

The party stretched till midnight, so Anaya, Dheer, and his friends all stayed at the Oberoi mansion. Another reason was to tell them about the final outcome of the plan.

As everyone was tired from the day's work and the party so Anaya decided to talk to Dheer's parents the next day in the morning. Thinking this, she went to bed early.

But Sharon Oberoi was Sharon Oberoi. She couldn't sleep without knowing everything so she summoned Dheer and his friends after the party and asked them everything.

They too didn't hide anything and told her everything that happened at the banquet and Anaya's decision after that.

After hearing them all and after understanding Anaya's reason for the divorce she didn't make a fuss and encouraged them to work harder and to ask for her help in wooing Anaya if needed.

"Don't worry Mama Oberoi, this time we won't let anything go wrong. Just you wait, Anaya will only be your daughter in law" Elisa said.

"Naa, I'm planning to take her as my daughter, not daughter in law" Sharon said nonchalantly.

"Mom, what do you mean by daughter? Are you planning to turn us into siblings?? No, I won't allow this. Not only it's bad, it's immoral maa... We were husband and wife and I love her. How can you make her my sister" Dheer protested.

Sharon smacked his head and said "Are you an idiot Dheer? Do you think I'm that immoral and don't have a sense. Of course I'll take you as my son in law when I take her as my daughter. So you better be quick and give me my daughter" she harrumphed.

Dheer's lips twitched hearing his mother. At last, he could only sigh and said "Anaya wanted to talk to you herself. She'll probably talk to you guys tomorrow morning and then move out in the afternoon. Please go easy on her"

"You don't have to tell us. We know what to do. What about the place she is moving to? Is it safe? Make sure you protect her well even after you move out." Papa Oberoi commanded.

"I know dad. So much happened recently that I didn't get a chance to ask her about her new place. But don't worry, I'll help her in shifting tomorrow and see her new place. Besides, after coming back from the camp I'll make sure she moves someplace close to me so that I can get more time with her. Meanwhile, Sam and others will look out for a place suitable for her" Dheer assured.

"It's good then. You all need to rest now. I know these past few days have been hectic for all of you so rest properly and take care of your health too. And Kids lookout after this idiotic son of mine like you always do" Papa Oberoi turned to Dheer's friends and said gently.

"Don't worry Papa Oberoi, we'll always be there for Dheer. Now you two rest too. Everything will be fine."

After everyone left Papa Oberoi put his arm around his wife and consoled her "Don't worry. It'll all work out."

Mama Oberoi turned her head towards her husband and with glistening eyes asked "Do you think his dreams started too late?"
