******Dheer's apartment*****
It had been two hours since they arrived from the banquet hall.
Anaya thought Dheer would not want her to see him in this condition so she had already gone back to her room. Dheer was miserable and had tears all the way to his apartment though he tried very hard to stop them. She knew that his friends would be there to cheer him up. Besides, she didn't know how to comfort him and it was best that she gave him some space.
Elisa had followed Anaya to her room to have a talk with her.
So currently it was only Eva, Rehan, Aisha, and Dheer in his room. They were anxiously waiting for Elisa to know about Anaya's decision over this.
"How did I do?" Dheer asked facing his friends.
"You did great there, I think" Aisha said.
"Really??" Dheer asked excited, proud of his acting.
"No. I think there was something amiss" Eva said next which deflated Dheer's excitement like a balloon.
"Not just something, everything was amiss there. Didn't you see Elisa's reaction, she totally wanted to strangle him there" Rehan said next.
"Come-on, I needed to look like a lovelorn man whose life was just over. So I went a little bit overboard okay. No need to say such mean things" Dheer turned to Rehan.
"A little bit? Did you say a little bit? Dude, you totally went overboard with your acting there. I mean you were crying as if someone was forcefully extracting your kidney. And what's with all those trying to act manly by holding back the tears look. You totally looked like a raccoon there. You suck at acting man. You should have joined that acting class back in school summer camp."
"Hey, that was the best part of my performance today okay. It was that part that earned Anaya's sympathy the most" Dheer snapped.
"Calm down Dheer. But I think Rehan is right. I was wondering who do you resembled that time and now that he mentioned, I too think that you looked like a raccoon this time" Eva said trying to suppress her laughter.
"Come-on Eva, not you too. And what do you mean by this time, I looked like a raccoon. Are you trying to tell me I always look weird when crying?" Dheer implored.
"Not always, just when you are putting on an act to cry. Remember the last time when you had to act crying when saving Arav from that stalker, you looked like a monkey there." Aisha chuckled as she remembered the incident.
"And that time in the casino, when we were almost accused wrongly and we were about to be arrested, that time you looked like a panda" Rehan burst out laughing.
"Shut up you guys and stop making fun of me. It's not time to joke. It's been almost one hour since they both went to talk and Elisa isn't back yet. What's taking her so long?" Dheer sounded worried.
Just then the door was opened. Dheer eagerly looked at the door but was disappointed as in walked Sam and Arav.
"What took you so long?" Eva jumped in Sam's embrace as soon as he reached near.
"That scum's wife was a bit disturbed after facing the truth so we had to drop her to her parent's place." Sam said as he hugged her back and kissed her head.
"What about Anshika and Raj," Aisha asked Arav.
"Till now, they don't know that they have been exposed. A false Mr. V is entertaining them right now. And they believe that they have succeeded in their plans."
"What about their punishment?" Dheer asked them.
"We can't punish them by law because they are way too smart to leave behind any trace to lead to them. That's why we had to resort to this method to expose them. So, my Elisa thought of a perfect punishment for them" Rehan said proudly.
Arav and Sam shuddered as he mentioned the punishment. 'Damn Elisa can sometimes be a devil when punishing those who did wrong to her loved ones. Thank God we are her friends'
"What punishment?" Aisha asked curiously.
"We will let them think that they have fooled V and acquired all his property. Raj's wife will definitely divorce her after today but we asked her to state any random reason for divorce and given that he will be holding V's property he would not pay much attention to his wife as according to him, he has almost sucked them dry of their wealth." Arav began.
Eva raised a brow and turned to Arav "What do you mean by 'according to him?"
"World of the riches. His wife's father had long suspected his son in law and had given him false information about his assets. He made it as if he was soon moving towards bankruptcy and was ready to get his daughter to divorce him. It was only when we dropped her today that he mentioned it to his daughter" Sam answered her chuckling.
"Tch... Tch... The hunters fell in the trap of their prays this time... So much for being so cunning. So what then. What will happen to them now?" Dheer asked.
"They'll become the multi-millionaire by the end of this week." Rehan said.
"What?" Dheer, Eva, and Aisha shouted at the same time.
"Don't shout yet. Do you think Elisa would ever let them live peacefully? My men are already on their trail. From now on, all they have is money and that property to depend on." Arav said.
"What do you mean by that?" Aisha asked.
