Slowly, she exited the room and started to follow the tall man around her new house. Their footsteps merged together, both walking at a steady pace, only hearing the one sound of their foot touching the cold, hard floor. Surrounding Lil, the air became denser, raising the air pressure around the tense girl, causing her knees to snap in anxiety, just, before she stopped.
Andimion's midnight black hair shuffled in time with his breathing, this blue eyes skidded the corridor quickly, then turned back to the teenage girl. He saw her nerves running around her, hugging her and terrifying the particles around her. Each strand of Lil's golden hair stuck tight behind her, and Andimion smiled happily as he understood the situation.
"Well, this will be your new bedroom, also in this corridor: is Isabelle's room, so if you need anything, just talk to he-", he got interrupted by a buzzing, vibrating sound from his pocket. Andimion took out his phone and answered it, asking who it was.
"Its me, Hayden. You see. Well... We ran into some trouble with some uummmm... What are they called again? Oh ye. With some imps, a whole lot of imps. And we cannot get back out. They literally barricaded the exit. Before you ask, I am using my magic, but it is really hard to have a shield and blast those nasty things. Please come and do something...", finished the voice on the other side of the phone. Andimion sighed annoyed, rolling his eyes back.
"Imps! But I thought they didn't exist!" Lil screamed out. She slapped soundly, her trembling hands onto her tired face. Her blinding sweat started eating away all of the girl's common sense. Shoving and twisting inside of her, Lil's thoughts started to break down into a million pieces, confusing her of what is reality.
Andimion placed his hand on her head gently, comforting her naturally. His warmth slowly started to release from his hands and onto her head. Slowly but effectively, his hand started to pat Lil's head, releasing all of her stress away in a single second. Her eyes darted from the floor and onto his face, she saw a gentle smile on the man's face, encouraging the girl to stay strong. Lil started to feel familiarity in his hands, as if Andimion has touched her head before when she was little. The girl decided to return the sad smile worriedly.
"Listen. I know that this is a lot to take in. And I understand that you must be worried about your mum; about how there are monsters in this world that do try to kill. But you should know that everything will be ok, your mother is an excellent warrior, she even saved me once when I was younger," He paused for a moment, looking back at his past with her mother by his side. " These sort of incidents happen, and I am sure that if your mother was prepared they wouldn't have too much of a problem."
"So my mum used to kill..." Lil's voice trailed off, surprised at what Andimion just told her about her mother. But Andimion disagreed, he told her that her mother fought differently than others, differently than him.
Reassuring Lil, he smiled at the innocence of the girl in front of him and then called out the name of the girl that was passing by the corridor. She wore a simple pale, blue dress with a white apron tied around her waist tightly with ribbon. Her dark, brown hair was tied by a simple blur ribbon that formed a tired bow at the top of her head. Turning towards the sound of the man, her soft features immediately caught Lil's eyes; her gentle, brown eyes stared back at her - and saw the awe in her eyes.
"Yes? Do you need anything or need my help?" the girl asked politely, showing no hint of surprise or curiosity for the foreign girl. She put on a small, sympathetic smile as she listened to Andimion explaining the situation to her. Nodding in agreement, she listening to the instructions that she was being given.
"Tell her everything she needs to know about the castle and how to not get lost. Afterall, you are the most reliable person in this field, huh?" he smiled gently and comfortably, also reminding her to not forget to introduce herself.
Andimion paced off down the corridor and away from the two, young girls, that stood there helplessly.
"Well, let me show you your new room I guess. It is important to know where it is so you can run away into your safe zone." the gentleness in her voice was soothing, which brought a smile to Lil's face as she understood the joke, at least she thought she did. The girl in front of her opened the door and entered the room, in a split second she turned her head round, and gestured Lil to come in. Obediently, her feet entered her new room.
Lil contemplated the room: every little detail, every little thing, every little life she could bring into the room. Smiling in awe and gratitude, she thanked the girl for allowing her to stay in the room. Lil was holding every muscle cell she could find, so that she wouldn't just flop onto the bed like a five-year-old. The blonde-haired girl turned to look back at her guide and asked her for her name.
"Sophie Rosalaloina, but every just calls me Sophie. What about you?" Sophie talked comfortably and happily - already accepting Lil into the new world.
"Lily, but everyone just calls me Lil. Lil" Her voice answered.
