William looked at her. He had never seen an ordinary girl perform complicated magic before, not even a warlock had such tremendous powers. He looked at her once more, before he realised that she was hardly breathing. The pale skin stood out from her gentle features, her golden hair was in a tangle'
"Guys! We need to get her to the infirmary or she won't survive!" he shouted.
James looked over at Serentilia, than at the warlock. He saw that they were both worried and tired, but at the same time he realized, that both of them knew more than they were telling. She needed help. James nodded at William and than ran over to the adults.
"We have to go or she will..." he said before he was cut.
" Or she will not live through this, I know." Serentilia said and looked over at her daughter.
She went over, the blood that stained the grass was gleaming softly under the stars. The wind blew gently before she reached the two young teenagers. Kneeling down next to William, she took out a golden pen- which had beautifully carved swirls and ancient marks on it. She carefully drew a mark on her daughter's left arm, the golden ink shining brightly. Standing up, Serentilia realized that she had a lot of explaining to do. The boys faces were as clear as the night sky, their surprise was understandable.
"Lets go," and went to join the brown-haired teenager with the warlock. She walked confidently over, replaying the situation in her head over and over again. What had happened was unexpected, it was terrifying. Serentilia looked up and asked for the boys to lead the way. They did as told. Closely behind followed the worried mother and the bored, tired warlock.
Strands of golden hair coloured the wind, as William carried Lil over the difficult yet easy to remember path. The trees became more dense and dense, the light of the moon was dimmer and dimmer and the bloody air seemed to thicken around the group. William quickly realised that they were already standing in front of their home - the castle of the defenders, Protéctor Eórum (commonly known as the 'defender').
The colour of the castle, quickly turned from old, mossy grey into a radiant pearl, white colour. No one ever understood why, but its luminous gleam was easy to see by anyone - who were gifted with that talent. The stained glass windows proudly shone their colours for everyone to see, even in the night. Appearing slowly from thin air, marble-like stairs shown infront of the tired group. Its shimmering surface screamed out softly at the blood carrying humans, the wind however, blew away the worries - like an emotion was removed from everything surrounding life.
James lead the way up the stairs. Quickly. He thought about everything and nothing at the same time. Growing suspicious, he turned to look at the mother of the hurt girl and his suspicions swiftly wore off. 'Weird, something is strange about the woman. I feel like I know her' he thought. Staring at the doors infront of him, waiting for them to open. As soon as he thought of that, the mysterious doors swiftly opened, welcoming them in to its secrets.
Serentilia looked at the building, it was a memory to her, a distant memory. She sighed. The building always was changing its appearance on the outside, it looked different everytime she saw it. The marble-like stairs reflected the moonlight gently into to cool night air. She looked back at the warlock and saw his tired expression, he was obviously a busy man. Returning her gaze forward, she started walking up the stairs, behind William and Lil. A smile spread on her face. Lil was safe.
"But for how long?" she whispered to herself.
Stillness. Coolness. Quietness. Everything stopped. Twinkling stars gazed down, as the group were approaching the inside of the building. The moon shone. Brighter than before, it shone its true colours, but only for a second - before it hid away behind the clouds, unhappy.
James entered first, dumping his sword on the floor. After that came in the warlock, he rolled his eyes before giving the sigh of annoyance as he waited for everyone else. Than came in Serentilia, she was reluctant, she stared at William, he let her pass infront of him and the girl in his arms.
However, as she entered - she changed. Torn and shredded clothes turned into a long, white dress with simple jewelry. Her blood-yellow hair, shimmered into a clean daffodile yellow colour. Once teared and injured skin, quickly healed to its healthy look - showing of its light colour to everyone. She turned to look at everyone, their surprise walked quickly to her body, touching her face hard. She blinked and waited for William to enter. A boy in the distance was watching and stared in shock.
"Why is this happening today..." he quietly said, in angrily to himself and entered.
Nothing happened to him - blood remained on him, the stain he wore on himself like a shield. But the girl, had an instant change of clothes. Pure white surounded her body, her clothes changed into a pearl-like colour dress, with golden swirls decorating its frail body. Her shoes turned into, knee-high black boots, with silk white gloves - not bothering to cover her fingers. Unlike her mohter though, she remained injured and blood started to cover her body. She was bleeding.
"I don't know what is happening, but I think we should take her to the medical room. Edward is there he can check up on her. And I will talk to you to for leaving me behind on this mission." said the tall boy, who was pointing at James and William angrily. His black hair was ruffled and his face displayed the emotion of disappointment. His sea-blue eyes stared at the two new females that were in his home.
He waved his hand, telling James and William that they should get his father to look at the situation, whilst he took the others to be check up on. William shrugged and gave the injured girl to him - her weight was barely noticable.
"Lets go" and lead the way.
