Meanwhile in the capital, at the pa lace.
At the palace library there sat a child about seven years old. It studied diligently, various books. He sat by a table with an open book and closed eyes.
-100 years b- bevor Morgue (Inventor of cleansing) Magic was discovered. A- about 600 years later were the c- countries reformed. Xotria's borders st- stayed the same. The royal b- bloodline exists for ca. 500 hundred years…
Hmmm… 76 y- years ago was the biggest ri- riot that was quieted with the b- ban of slave seals. The k- king never ceased to u- use them and they gradually cam b- back into usage for nobles and merchants. N- nonetheless it is still harder to e- enslave somebody, it is no longer common to e- enslave someone on the street in board d- daylight…
Did I f- forget anything? –
He opened and read through the two pages that were open. -Slave trader h- had their goods con- confiscated. Slaves with family g- got returned… -
-If books would depict how the real workings in the palace are, then this bloodline would have already been extinguished! –
-L- Lynn you sh- shouldn't fuel your h- hatred…-
-My hatred? –
-O- our hatred…-
He turned the page and started going through the information on two new pages.
The day passed like that and has it turned dark the boy lit some candles and continued his studies.
…
…
At some point He looked up and out of the window. -A- already this l- late I should go back to m- my room and sleep. –
He closed the book and but it back into the bookshelf. Afterwards he made his way back home.
The hallways were dimly lit, and you got uncomfortable wandering them late at night.
As he made his way to his room, he passes the kings bed chambers.
-M maybe we should make a de- detour, I d- don't like the s-sounds that come out o- of that room-
-No! That is the fastest way. –
-Sorry, sorry. –
-Don't be such a wimp. How could you even survive without me? –
-W- weren't you always w- with me? I can't re- remember a time w- without you. How did I s- survive without you?
-… No wonder that you created a second personality. –
Noise…
-C- can't we make a detour? –
-I already said no. Just ignore it. We survived worse. –
He lifted his hands to cover his ears, but it never came to that. The arms stopped mid motion.
-What're you doing? –
-C- cover my ears. –
-I know that you wanted to do that. I meant you shouldn't do that. –
-B- but… I d- don't want to h- hear that noise a- and, you wanted to go t- that way… s- so, I thought of a s- solution. –
-Such a child. Just bear it. You'll hear it a lot more, so get used to it. –
-Whimper… -
-Stop whimpering. We aren't going to survive with that kind of attitude. –
He made his way across the corridor.
Sex noise….
Sex noise…
Sex noise…
-C- can't we walk a bit f- faster? –
-No! –
The child's face remained determined without a flinch, throughout their intern struggle.
-I r-really hate going t- that way. –
-Me too, but first it is faster second it fuels our hatred to that bastard. –
-I'm n- not sure that is a g- good thing. –
-I can control my hatred. –
-B- but you always l- let it out on the cute a- animals. –
-Got a problem with that? –
-No, no, no, just m- mentioning it. –
-Keep it to yourself then. –
The remaining way to their room remained uneventful. As soon as they entered the room they went to sleep.
***
The next day.
-Today we practice magic, right? –
-Yes. –
They made themselves ready took a book, a pen and left the room.
-What do we eat f- for breakfast? –
-A slice of bread. –
-I don't t- think that will be enough… -
-Then we'll eat two. –
-… T- that wasn't what I meant…-
-Did you say something? –
-Nothing… A- Already in a bad mood, I sh- shouldn't start debate in the m- mooring… -
He made his way to the kitchen grabbed two slices of bread and made his way to the trainings ground. There he also took an old armor from the storage near the trainings ground and positioned it a few meters in front of him.
At the training's ground left with half a slice of bread Lynn sat on the ground and opened the book and formed a fire rune.
-If we c- could make it hot enough to melt the g- gravity spell on the armor it should go through. –
-No shit Sherlock and how are we supposed to do that. If you have forgotten, we already tried multiple times to increase the heat. –
Lynn pick up a stone and threw it in the air it landed in his palm again.
-L- Lynn do that again. –
Lynn threw the stone again in the air and caught it.
-I- I have an idea. Let me please. –
The body's aura changed form a self-confident to a shy one.
-Noel what do you want to try? –
Noel dismissed the fire rune formed an ice one and created a tiny shard of ice.
-T- The stone spun, s- so I thought that, that could be used i- in the spell. –
-Huh, and how? –
-I- I don't know exactly. B- But it is an idea. –
Noel tried a few things with little to no success. Everything Noel tried needed constant focus and concentration.
-How about you try using fire to? –
-G- good idea. –
Noel formed a fire rune and put heat on the ice shard, with no success.
The aura of the body changed to a confident one again. Lynn created a new ice shard and put heat on specific parts of it.
-It st- started spinning. L- Lynn you are a genius. –
Lynn shot the spinning ice shard at the armor. The ice shard stopped for a moment then penetrated the gravity enchantment and got through the first layer of the armor.
-W- we did it! –
-Don't be so happy it took too much time to go through the first layer. –
-B- but we managed to get a step c- closer. –
-Even you'd be able to prevent it from hurting you. –
-W- why does that sound like a- an insult? –
The aura of the body changed again.
-W- what. Lynn tell me if we ch- change. –
-Now you try it. –
-W- where do I need to put the heat. –
-Try and find out. –
-Sight. A- Alright. –
Noel tried and failed a few times. With each attempt he came closer to the solution. Till he managed to do what Lynn already accomplished.
-L- Lynn look I m- managed to penetrate the armor! –
-It is supposed to go through it not just scratch it. Try again. –
Noel tried again and again till he managed to have the ice shard go through the first layer of the armor.
-Noel it's time for lunch. –
Noel put the armor back and made his way to the dinning hall.
-L- Lynn, a- about this a- afternoon… -
-Yeah? –
-C- could we practice magic again? –
-No. –
-P- pretty please? –
Bump
Noel walked into someone and fell onto the ground.
"If that isn't one of my incompetent siblings."
"S- sorry f- for pumping i- into you."
"Haha, stuttering. How pathetic. Something like you shares the same bloodline as me. You are a shame. "
"Shut up. For someone who is about do die you are quite arrogant."
"How dare you." The youth got a read head.
Lynn got up and tried to walk away, but the youth kicked him, and he fell to the ground.
"Not so fast, you still need to compensate me."
"For what? That you don't look were you walk or for your arrogance?" Lynn had a fierce look in his eyes and stared without flinching into the eyes of his older brother.
"You little son of a b*tch!" The boy griped the throat of Lynn picked him up and pressed him against a wall.
"You know of the consequences of killing one of the king's children!" Lynn had a hard time talking.
"As long as you're alive I won't get into trouble."
They stared into each other's eyes again. "I'll beat that defying look out of your eyes." With that sentence he threw Lynn to the ground and started kicking him. Again, and again and again.
"Cough, cough." Lynn coughed up some blood.
-L- Lynn lest change. I c- can take some of the p- pain to. –
-Shut up! –
"Hahaha, not so brave anymore." The boy kneeled down, with a victorious smile on his face. But before he could say anything else, Lynn spitted into his face and still had the fierce look into his eyes.
"You!!! You!!! You will regret this!!!"
"If you kick me more, I could die!"
With that sentence the rage on the boy's face vanished for a split second before his face distorted with more rage than before.
"I'll get my revenge!" With that the boy stomped of.
-L- Lynn we need to get to a h- healer. L- Lynn are you still c- conscious? –
-If I wasn't you weren't either. –
-R- Right… L- Lynn I could go look-
-Shut up. I'll handle that. – Lynn tried to get up but fell down again. At the second attempt with the help of the wall he managed to stabilize himself. He tumbled into the direction of the healer's room leaving behind a line of blood on the wall.
