Morning the next day

-Uhhh uff uhhh I can't I'm so exhausted I will just stay on the ground. –
"Are you all right?"
"Anthony. Yes, just a little exhausted."
"I can't remember ever crying from exhaustion."
I stared at him dumfounded and reached for my cheeks.
"I really am crying I didn't even notice."
He gave me a handkerchief.
"How can't you notice when you are crying? Anyway, want to tell me what troubles you?"
"Thanks. How can you tell?"
"You aren't the only one who trains like crazy when something is troubling you."
"Yeah probably…. I had a nightmare where I died and had to leave my loved ones behind… It was so realistic."
"Hmm dreams can be realistic, but you should be glad that you are still alive. But you could train and study hard to prevent that this dream ever becomes reality."

"I will try."
"I know that I am bad at encouraging someone but if you want someone to listen you can count on me."
I looked at him and smiled
"Thanks, I will remember that besides your advice wasn't that bad."
He smiled back
"Anthony do you have some spare time?"
"Why do you ask?"
"If you have some we could spar. I am still terrible, but you could teach me." I looked at him with my best puppy eyes
"Why not"
With that we got up and positioned ourselves
"I'll use my sword. You should try to close the distance but don't just run at me."
I grabbed my dagger tight and cautiously mad one step after the other
"Not bad. But try to move in a circle which you make smaller. If you come close in a straight line it'll be predictable, easy to doge and easy to counter attack."
In this fashion I managed to come near him
"You should be able to sprint on me from that distance, which will make me act faster than running in a straight line."
I did as he suggested. I sprinted at him jumped and slashed.

I was drenched in sweet but had a lot of fun with Anthony. He noticed the time too.
"It is about time that we stop. You need to take a shower before your afternoon lesson begins."

"Thanks for teaching me. I had a lot of fun. See you at the library in the evening."
I waved at him and made my way to the bathroom.

-I used charge to get my stamina up but I am still terrible at it. At least I managed to somewhat master Accumulation. Anthony is really a great big brother I feel bad that I wanted to use him. But I won't survive if I want to be a saint or a hero who loves and helps everyone. But I will be nice to people who are nice to me. –

Mr. Cacklemi enters the room and sits at the other chair.
"Good afternoon."
I greet him too and made a curtesy.
"Today I will explain to you the basics of magic."
I like always, have my hand on the book, which lies on the table.
"Last week I taught you about the history of magic and this week we will continue with the elements. There are fire, water, air, earth, light and darkens. The light and darkens elements interact different with each other than the other elements. They are essential for healing. Even tough darkens has a great devasting potential and light magic is rarely used in offensive ways you can't fight one with the other at best they will negate each other if one magus is much more powerful than the other, but in most cases nothing happens. The other elements interact different with each other. For example, fire and air. When you want to make a fire, you need to blow in the sparks to ignite it. But you also can blow out a candle. The same principals apply for magic. You always need to understand how the elements interact with each other without magic to understand how they will behave when they are used in spells.
There are also some evolved elements like lightning, ice and metal. You can use the same principals as for the basic elements. The evolved elements are in some way stronger but harder to learn because you need to understand first the element it is based off, and afterwards you can start learning an evolved element. But an evolved element can also be inferior to a basic element. It al depends on understanding, magical power and how used the magi is to that element.

"Yes. So, it does not matter which element is used because they are all equal?"
"Yes and no. Most elements are equal, but lightning is superior to water. We will cover the underlying principals in the following days.
That then concludes our lesson."
With that he bid his farewells and left.
