Next day, Pranavi was all set to shift to the new place. Though she was a bit nervous to stay alone with a man but still she had to as she had no choice . Beggars cannot be choosers after all and right now she was at mercy of the great, the benevolent Lee Woobin. Just as she was immersed in her own thoughts, she heard someone knock at the door .
She stood up and went to open the door. It was Mike and he came to take her to the Woobin's house. He greeted her as Pranavi invited him to come in."Is everything ready?" he asked before taking her bags with him. Pranavi did not have many thing to take with her in the first place. Everything was packed in just two bags. Her books were already being shifted to his house by Mike and now it was time for her to go to his place.
They seated in the car and it started moving swiftly. Within half an hour they reached their destination. As soon as Pranavi entered the house, the first thing she noticed was the spacious rooms. Though Woobin said that it was an apartment but in actual fact it was a big damn mansion. She started shedding invisible tears. She would definitely have sore back and painful legs after cleaning this. She was then showed her room which was next to Woobin's room to ease the communication between the two.
After placing her bags in her room she went to the study to sign the comtract. In the contract it was mentioned clearly that all the medical expenses of her grandmother's illness and her accommodation charges will be taken care of by the Lee Woobin and in return she would have to be his helper for one year. It was also mentioned that she need not work during her college hours and also can study after returning. Her chief tasks are to look after his meals, send his clothes for laundry and the like.
As she read the contract she became the happiest person on earth. This job was not as tough as she expected. She could use the help of various workers when he was not at home and she could also attend her college.Where could she find such high paying part time job? she thought to herself and started grinning.
....
Her first day at his house went in making herself acquainted with his things and habits, where the things were kept and so on and so forth. While she was strolling around, her eyes suddenly fell on the swing placed in the garden. She loved to sit on the swing. Back in India she would often go to parks to play with children on swings. She suddenly felt nostalgic. She looked left and then right, she darted towards the swing with the speed of a bullet. She hesitated for a second but then in the very next second threw all the hesitation out in the imaginary trash bin and jumped directly on the swing.
On the window of the study room stood a tall figure looking at her and smiling. He knew she loved to swing therefore he asked Mike to install one in the garden . To see her smiling like this he was filled with a warm feeling that cannot be explained in words. He just wanted to see her smile like this for what reasons he didn't know but it seems her smile had the magic to end all his sorrows.
It was probably true that smile is like a mirror when you smile at a person he would smile back at you, just like to see Pranavi beam with happiness Woobin couldn't stop himself from being happy. This was new yet felt good to him. Now he was waiting how the upcoming days with her would turn out to be.
He then gave a last glance to her and left to continue with his work.
