Chereads / I Am Undying / Chapter 64 - Childish

Chapter 64 - Childish

While Rin asked that, his left hand was pulled and he heard, "Let's go."

Dana, without emitting any presence took his hand and pulled.

Rin obviously woulddon't fight back and just followed her.

"Oh, sure!", he then looked at Menzel and waved his hand, "That was a pretty awesome move but don't do it when there is people around you may hurt others."

Menzel was stunned and her face increased its temperature. It sounded like Rin was lecturing her like she was a kid which is unacceptable and unbearable!

She rushed to them and intended to chop Rin and Dana's interlocked hands but Rin swiftly moved their hands to the left a little and Menzel missed again as always.

"Argghh!", Menzel started to feel depressed on top of her frustration. She just wanted to see how strong Rin was but instead, she was getting humiliated and discourage moment after moment.

Her pride that was built since she was young was crumbling bits by bits. However, she couldn't accept it and looked at Rin with raging eyes.

'What us she doing?', asked himself when she saw Menzel's expression right before he was pulled by Dana. Her face was only an inch away to his, she asked while continuing to walk, "Who's she? What is she doing?", she pouted, even a monkey could get what Menzel was trying to do.

"Actually, I don't know myself. She just said 'fight me' after she bumped onto me. It was pretty interesting.", Rin laughed.

"Hey!! Don't ignore me!!", Menzel turned childish and followed Rin and Dana.

Dana had enough and stopped. She turned to Menzel and domineeringly asked, "What do you want?"

"A fight!", she yelled without hesitation.

Dana didn't know who the famous Menzel is. But on the other hand, Menzel clearly knew who Dana was. Even she respected the school idol because they were in the same league.

Dana was seen as the embodiment of perfectness. There is no flaw that can be point out to every of her aspects. "There's no person that is perfect" disappeared when they saw who Dana was.

Even Menzel wanted to see if Dana could match her.

"Are you a kid?", Dana said emotionlessly.

Menzel just stared. She definitely knew that she was acting childish right now but she just couldn't help herself.

She breathed in and out to calm herself. Although she had never seen a person like Rin, she still need to control herself.

She turned her head to Rin and asked, "Can I borrow your phone?", she placed her open hand in front of Rin.

"For what?", it is not Rin who asked but before he could, Dana did.

Ignoring Dana, Menzel gestured her hand again.

Rin sighed and just brought his phone out. He was not scared of Menzel doing anything to his phone since he's there and there's nothing really he needed to hide in there.

Menzel took it and took her phone too while enduring Dana's glare. It was obvious that she wanted to get Rin's contact info.

"Huh?", Menzel expressed, 'Rin, I feel like I heard that name before…'

"Here", she handed it to Rin after she was done.

"Okay"

"Hey, do you know who that guy is?", one of the delinquents asked beside him.

"Actually, I don't know."

"To think he actually caught Boss' attention."

They thought that even they could dodge that kicks seeing how Rin easily did it.

"Wait! I actually know that guy!", one yelled and caught everyone's attention in the group.

"That's Rin, the 'weakest' person. I just can't relate him to the rumors but I definitely saw him before!", he pointed out.

"Rin… wait, no! Boss doesn't bother herself with the weak remember! If he just got lucky dodging Boss then Boss should know that."

"And didn't you see that Boss punched him and he caught easily. How could he be the 'weakest' person you are saying?"

They knew these rumors of Rin because it was bizarre. Rin was like a special animal in the zoo that will sure to get everyone's attention. Everybody is interested about 'ests' like the strongest, smartest, fastest and even the weakest.

Rin's 'legends' about being weak, not just physically, was easily passed because of this and was typically compared to others or was made fun off.

"No! No! It is obviously him. I've seen him before.", that guy persisted which made the other guys wrinkled their eyebrows.

"Did Boss gotten weak?", the one with the glasses said.

"No way… maybe that wasn't Rin and where did you even get that idea? Do you think a normal person can do that kicks earlier?!"

"But then, no matter how strong a person is, he could never catch Boss' punch easily like that."

"Maybe she just didn't punch seriously?"

"Or maybe she is already weak?", the one with the glasses said again and smiled.

"Weak?"

"Yeah, yeah, I assure you that that is definitely Rin who's the weakest so there is no way that Boss couldn't touch him so maybe she is now weak?"

"Me? Weak?", Menzel was smiling in front of the guy with the glasses.

The other involuntarily facepalmed and thought, 'We thought that those who are wearing glasses are smart…', as they sighed.

After that, they learned how strong their Boss again in the hard way.

….

"You should really avoid that kind of women. They are too violent for you."

"Nah, it's okay. She's not that dangerous."

Dana could only just squint her eyes as she bit down the burger that Rin bought for the two of them but this time they each have their own.

Coming back into the classroom. Sylvie saw them and felt a weight disappeared inside her chest. She could finally sighed a relief since the two was no longer in a 'fight'.

…..

After school, the two decided to walked home together.

They were silent at first but after an ice broke between them, the two naturally talked like before which was filled with laughter.

Before Rin wave Dana a goodbye, he remembered something. He said that he no longer can call when it is 8:00 pm. Although Dana just nodded and didn't ask anything, Rin saw her expression of a bit of disappointment and worry.

If she knew what he actually was going to do, she may faint right on the spot. It is better to keep it a secret. It is not like Dana was a part of his life in the night, right?

After that, he went straight home and prepared: he filled his stomach, cleaned himself, and he even did what he didn't usually do, he meditated for a bit.

Rin knew what he was going to go through. It was going to be hellish.

He sat in a meditating position and relive what he experienced last night. The bodyguard who was at the Fourth Stage of Focus was terrifying. If possible, Rin didn't want to face such an opponent again.

Their fight at first was easy for Rin. Since his opponent was just playing with him. There is a huge difference between the two so there's not stopping his opponent from doing that.

However, after an hour. The bodyguard had enough and tried seriously which was the start of Rin's hellish moment.

Just a punch from that guy and he was sent flying. He was sure that he would've already died twice in that punch if he hadn't use Natural Energy and made the impact less.

From that moment on, he knew how far apart their powers are. He looked like a normal human in front of that guy. His nose was constantly bleeding every time he borrowed Natural Energy from his surrounding. Rin really wants the Energy Core his master was saying.

Rin reimagined every situation where he could've chose a better option. He also wondered if having a broken mind is the same as being dead. If it is, then he could use Natural Energy as much as he wants and just bare with the pain that it brought.

Unaware to Rin, a blue faint mist was forming around him. It was very translucent to the point that you may call it transparent but it was there and barely noticeable. However, as time pass by, this missed was getting thicker and getting bluer.

Like a wind was an uprising, Rin hair stood amidst this mist sphere as if he was underwater. His thoughts was too deep to notice this things and even if he wasn't as long as his eyes were closed, he wouldn't still notice this unless he used his other senses.

Unknowingly, his breathing was deep and balanced.

After a while, he opened his eyes. Rin felt rejuvenated. He felt light and felt like he was ready. Even a bit of nervousness couldn't be found in his expression.

He looked at the clock, hanging on wall.

He smiled determinedly, "Alright, let's go!"
