It was love at first sight, Josh's mother was the daughter mayor of the city. She attend with her father there because her mother was sick. Long story short, both Alexander and Jane attracted with each other.
When both have an conversation, they lost the track of time. They talk a lot of things until the event is almost finish. Her father didn't interrup them because he could see that the both of them are about to build a strong connection.
And it did, in just one year. Alexander decided to marry Jane, and they have Josh the next year after that. Alexander was happy for a few years until the day that Jane was sick. Back then Josh was only 7 years old and there is so many things that Alexander need to do. Working, taking care of Jane and also their son Josh.
But not to long Jane die, no matter what he did. He couldn't stop the sickness in her. He was devastated, he once again lost the one that he love the most. He felt like he couldn't move on any longer. He ask to himself why did everything that is precious to him been taken away.
He was in grief for so long, until he forget that he still have a piece of Jane. And that is Josh.
He realise that life must go on no matter what, so he did and take care of Josh on his own.
Sarah notice that Mr.Alexander been quite for awhile since she didn't answer his question so she ask him
"Dad, are you ok.?"
Been snap out of his daydreaming, Mr. Alexander said
"Yeah, i'm ok."
Sarah misjudge with what she saw the expression on Mr.Alexander face, she thought that Mr.Alexander is disappointed with her.
So she rushly said "Dad, don't be sad. I know you wanted me and Josh to have a family but i hope you can also wait. Because right now, all i wanted to do is finish my studies in the university. Beside it i really do need to take some time to get to know Josh well."
Mr.Alexander wasn't really sad about that but he was sad because he remind of the memories of his late wife. He wants to explain but the again he just let Sarah think that way.
"I understand Sarah, i knew i was a bit push over about it and i know it made you uncomfortable. i'm sorry about that. You are still young so there is nothing strange about that."
Sarah smile at him, this is one of the things that she like about Mr.Alexander, he understand her well. Sometimes she feels envious because Josh have a great father yet he himself doesn't have any good side.
She wish that her own father could be like Mr.Alexander but right now it was already to late. In the past few weeks, she tried to contact her father without letting Mr.Alexander know about it. But she failed because her father doesn't answer it. She even left a few message.
Her father did read it but he never reply, it stay that way until she at the church. The day she get married is also the day that she stop contacting her father because she knows that she wasn't important in her father's life anymore. Because of that she come to hate her father.
But right now, she gain a lot more. Now she have a husband and a father in law who care deeply for her and a few friends that she care. With just these, she felt happy.
