Mr Marcus put the whole building on lockdown and sent his personal guards the ones he trusts very much to search the building. Tyler searched the building with Denis while Skyler searched with Jenny. They didn't really know what they were looking for so they all gathered back at Mr Marcus's office and there Jenny suggested that they check the camera. When they entered the security room they saw the two guards knocked out and the cameras weren't working. The whole building's power supply went down and darkness flooded the building. A loud explosion sound caught everyone's attention. Tyler went down to check what the problem was while the other waited in Mr Marcus's office. When Tyler had gone down he saw Jim, Jim had the ability to blast fire balls from his hands and change his body size. Tyler saw him blasting fire balls around the room, he teleported behind him and punched him in the back, which did a lot of damage because of Tyler's super strength.
Jim fell on the floor paralysed. Tyler carried him up to Mr Marcus's office there they put a special bracelet on his leg which made it impossible for him to use his powers. Skyler noticed that she wasn't able to use her powers which made her really worried and because of that Mr Marcus also checked if Denis and Jenny were able to use their powers and they weren't able to use their powers. Mr Marcus ran a few tests on them and found out that they had lost their powers because they were in the same area as the machine that gave them their powers, he also found out that they had not entirely lost their powers, all that happened was that their powers got reset and now they could choose their new two powers. Skyler chose the ability to control the electricity and air manipulation, Jenny chose magnetisation which gave her the ability to make non magnetic things magnetisable and she also chose super speed. The last was Denis, he chose the ability to blast laser beams from his hands and the ability to teleport. When they were all done selecting their new powers Tyler and Denis went down to see if there was anybody else out of their rooms while Jenny, Skyler and Mr Marcus interrogated Jim.
Tyler and Denis checked everywhere but they couldn't find anybody or any fire so they wondered what the explosion sound was all about.
"I ain't gonna talk", said Jim,"If I talked and they found out I'm dead."
"So their more than one,"said Jenny.
"If you cooperate with us we can grant you safety,"said Marcus,"Just know that if you don't talk you're gonna be dead."
"How ?"
"I'm gonna kill you,"said Marcus as he pulled a gun out of his pocket. This wasn't just any gun it was a laser gun.
He pulled it out and aimed it towards Jim's head. Jim didn't still look like he was gonna talk so Marcus used the gun ad hit his head two times. Then he shot his leg.
"Ahhhhhhhhhh,"screamed Jim as blood gushed out of his leg.
Jenny and skyler were extremely surprised to see him pull the trigger.
"There's more where that came from so you better start talking or I'll start shooting,"shouted Marcus.
Three people burst inside the room. It was Claire, Jessica and Luke. They each held a laser gun in their hand.
"Hands up and sit on the floor!," said Claire pointing the gun toward Marcus's head. He dropped his weapon knowing he was out numbered. Skyler drained all the electricity from the room they were in and it went dark then they charged for the door.
Lasers filled the whole room while they ran they all missed their targets but one managed to hit Skyler right in the stomach. She fell to the floor and screamed in anguish. Marcus and Jenny not knowing what happened continued running.
Tyler and Denis heard sounds coming from the toilet so they went to check. As they entered the toilet they saw a little speaker on the toilet sit. They realized that it was making the sounds they heard. As they were about to leave, the door shut. Tyler tried to punch the door down but as he punched it nothing happened, it just pains him furiously. He knew the only way for that was that they were shot with Maxite. When the door was open someone had shot them with Maxite.
