Chirp... chirp... chirp....
Six in the morning...
"Ughhhhh! Damn my head hurts!! Why do I feel so heavy???" Alena said to herself.
"Honey, if you're up come down and eat breakfast." Her mother shouted from the kitchen downstairs.
"Mom, I want coffee and pancakes. I'll be downstairs in a while."
"Sis, no pancakes for you! I ate all of them. Haha!" Teased her younger sister.
"Nooooooo!!!! Alice you can't do this to me!" Alena cried.
"Sis I have reserved a toasted bread with strawberry jam for you. Sit!"
"Oh! Thanks bro! You're the best!" Alena joyfully relieved.
Alena and her siblings were abandoned by their father when she was just 5 years old. Alice, the younger sister was only 2 at that time while her older brother, Alex, was 8. The siblings new their situation with their parents but they never asked their mother about it.
Their mom was a very kind and humble woman but easy to read. When Alice tried to ask for their father one time, the older siblings did not react but observed the face of their mother. Darkness.... not pain nor anger but darkness was all they could see in their mother's expression. They could not ascertain the real reason behind the abandonment but since they were still a child, they thought their father just found someone and runaway.
Being abandoned by their father at an early age made the older siblings mature earlier than most of their classmates. Not only are they geniuses at school, but responsible leaders as well.
"Honey, take this with you in school. Please come home early." Reminded their mom.
"Mom don't worry. I'll be watching my sisters at school."
"Thank you dear. I'm glad i have you. Ok! Take care!" Their mom waved goodbye to the siblings.
"Sis....." Alex held Alena's wrist and saw the red ink in her palm.
Alena realizing what his brother was looking at, she became frightened. She does not know what to say to his brother. She did not even sleep early due to the sudden appearance of the mysterious numbers on her palm. "This....Bro can you see it?" Asked Alena.
"Yes. When did this appear?"
"You know about this? It was last Saturday when we had the accident... Oh yeah I forgot to go to the hospital to ask the guy's condition." She said while realizing that she forgot about the accident that happened last time.
"I will go with you to the hospital later. After that we can talk about this mess..." Alex responded calmly.
"Bro, does this have something to do with father?" I asked. "Yes. But I think this have something to do with mother as well."
"Bro what is this thing? Can I see yours???" I asked curiously. Alex suddenly showed his palm but to her surprise it was not a number combination but a word.
