After Brian finished enjoying his breakfast, Brian went down to the basement where Grandpa J was. The walls leading down to the basement seemed as if termites had been eating the wood. When Brian arrived at the bottom of the stairs, he spotted Grandpa J looking at the bookshelves inside the dimly light room. Grandpa J seemingly noticing Brian turned towards Brian before telling him

After talking with Grandpa J for a while, Brian returned upstairs and started to look for Isabella. After exploring the house, Brian wasn't able to find Isabella and started to search outside only to not find her anyways. The sky had started to darken and without being able to find Isaebella, Brian decided to head back inside to learn the Heavenly Purifying Breathing Technique. After sitting down on the bed in a cross legged position then proceeded to take out the Breathing Technique. Brian also took out one of each pill he received. Grandpa J had told Brian to take 1 of each when he practiced the Breathing Technique and 1 of each during training to maximize usage. Brian had received 50 pills of each and Grandpa J told Brian to go receive them each 50 days. Unfolding the the scroll containing the Breathing Technique, Brian started to thoroughly read through the technique and quickly reached an understanding. The technique was simple but extremely effective, taking in the Qi from his nose, the Qi would then pass through his veins directing the Qi towards his heart and dantian. That was the reason the blood and heart needed to purified and strengthened. The Qi would then spread throughout his body and eliminate any pollutions within his body. Brian learned very quickly, but actually using the technique is harder, but that's still no problem thanks to Brian's body. After learning the contents of the scroll, Brian's mind seemed to have made a breakthrough somehow as if he was enlightened. Brian immediately felt power within his body simply from reading the text.
'Could the technique be so powerful that I can breakthrough the levels in cultivation by simply reading these?'
Brian realized why people would kill for a better technique if they could grant enlightenment by just reading, meaning the actual technique would be heaven breaking if used. Brain excitedly reached into the pouch and swallowed all 3 pills at once. Feeling the energy spread through every inch of his body, Brian started practicing the Heavenly Purifying Breathing Technique and promptly started to feel the changes to his body. Brian's abdomen felt as if a fire was lit and the pain made Brian break into a sweat. The Qi within his body seemed to go crazy and became chaotic. Brian entered his own state of mind shortly after feeling the pain. The pain was so unbearable Brian almost passed out, Brian wanted to give up and started to doubt whether it was worth to suffer just to become a cultivator. Brian recalled what Grandpa J had told him before.
'The strong rule and the weak followed'
Brian knew Grandpa J was right, but Brian didn't couldn't stand the pain. Just as Brian was about to give up and stop circulating the Qi, he recalled the memories of his previous life and the words and pain he felt. Nothing could compare to what he felt in his past life.
'Should I stop cultivating? Will I be the same as before, not being able to change anything. Will I just follow those who are strong and be ordered around? Should I give up right now to stop this agony? No, I shouldn't give up easily. I didn't come here just to suffer again, I cane was brought to this world as my second chance. Inside Brian's mind, as if another lock was opened, Brian felt clear minded and the Qi within Brian's body started to calm down and started to spread out at a steady pace.

Unknown to Brian, when Grandpa J was sharpening blades and refining pills, Grandpa J felt someone's Qi started to be disorderly and chaotic. Grandpa J instantly knew what these signs meant; Qi deviation. Grandpa J worried, searched for where the indication of Qi deviation was coming from. Grandpa J noticed the Qi deviation came from Brian's room and without wasting a single second, went to Brian's room. As Grandpa J arrived inside Brian's room he quickly noticed the Qi within Brian's body calming down. Grandpa J, heavily sighed as if the end of the world was avoided.
'Hoh, I didn't expect this. He's almost reached Earth Realm already. As expected of a Dragon Body. And he was able to stop the Qi deviation, so his mind must be solid too. I knew I didn't make a mistake. I'll have to take extra care of you, lad.'
Grandpa J started to like Brian more and decided to give Brian more resources. Grandpa J then headed back downstairs and continued to work on the pill and weapons, but had started to make plans to teach Brian how to smith weapons and how to concoct pills.

Brain still not noticing Grandpa J, continued to cycle the Qi within his body and the fire that he felt was longer in his abdomen, instead it was spread around his body and the fire was no longer painful, instead, the fire felt warm and calm like he was in the embrace of his loved one. As Brian opened his eyelids, his eyes were filled with a determination that wasn't in his eye before. Through this quick, but painful process, Brian's mind matured and this allowed him to break 1 of the locks stopping his cultivation and only needed to open 1 more lock to fully advance towards the Earth Realm. Brian sensed his power and was happy, but knew he was still too weak. Uncrossing his legs, Brian stood up and noticed his body drenched in sweat. Before, he would feel the weight of his clothes being drenched in sweat, but now, Brian fell the clothes bring light as a feather. Brian's senses also felt like like they were sharpened. He could see farther, his sense of smell improved, Brian's hearing also improved, he was able to hear Grandpa J workings 2 floors down and he would be able to hear farther if he wanted to. As Brian sniffed the air he smelled something putrid coming from his ass and he felt something squishy touching his ass. Brian dashed toward the bathroom and pulled his pants down. The smell got worse. And Brian was instantly disgusted at himself.
'Oh fuck.'
