RJ's first reaction upon seeing Chiko's surprise attack was a counterattack.
Seeing the overwhelming etherial fire coming behind Chiko seems to have ignited his burning passion and he too exploded into a blurry figure as he countered Chiko's fire with an Axe kick from above.

Out of everyone's expectation, RJ's downward strike and Chiko's rolling spike managed to hit the ball at the same time which caused an echoing sound on the court.
