"Hey, baby. Remember that we have to go shopping tomorrow. Let's go there after school."
"Okay, Alicia."
" And also, can you come to Chloe's party later? I really need to teach her a lesson for insulting about both of us."
I massaged the bridge of my nose and sighed. " Alicia, you know I'm not interested in this bullshit. Just don't mind what others say. Don't try to brag about yourself to others. We are all different."
" Okay baby. Stop with your nonsense speeches. I understand. Bye."
I felt really tired to deal with my girlfriend, Alicia Brennan. She was a sweet girl when I met her at first, but after a few months of our relationship, she has been pushing me to have sex with her. But, I'm not interested. I am a virgin (too weird to say because I'm considered as the dream guy). Actually, I wasn't in love with her. She forced me into the relationship. I really couldn't stand her behaviour to belittle other people.
l laid down on my bed and closed my eyes, trying to push Alicia out of my mind. But then, the new girl popped into my mind. Tara Sullivan. I saw her staring at me in Literature class. It was usual for me to get stares but hers was different. Her eyes has a mix of happiness and sadness. As I took my seat and Mrs Lewis gave us the assignment, I took out 'Richard lll' and was about to read. and I saw Tara reading 'Hamlet'. I began reading when I felt Alicia tapping my shoulder. I didn't care about it because I knew she was reading '50 Shades of Grey'. Then, I heard Tara laughing. "She had a very cute laugh, "I thought to myself.
That's when Mrs Lewis asked her to speak in front of the class. She was speaking until she stopped after speaking of herself reading with her family. She began crying and just ran out of class. Why did she do that?
But, I saw her at the cafeteria later on. That when I got to see her properly. She was about 5 feet and 2 inches tall and had a slim figure. She jet black hair was tied in a ponytail. But I had a feeling she looked better when she untied her hair. She wore a long sleeved T shirt and baggy jeans. She looked really cute.
Oh my God! What's wrong with me? I had never felt this way before. I really would want to talk to her one day. But, I didn't think I would have the chance. Cole is her friend. I saw his face when he noticed Tara and I locked out eyes at each other.
"CHRIS!!!!!"
Simon darted into my room with sweat dripping from his face. He was breathing heavily. Looked like he ran all the way here from school.
"Simon. You scared the hell out of me. What had happened to you?"
"It's very important and I have to tell you now. Do you have water? "
I gave him my bottle and he gulped the water very quickly. Then, he laid down on my bed.
"So, what do you want to tell me?"
He sat up again and told me about what happened in History. He told me about what Tara had said about me. And I was really shocked. I felt a chill in my spine. Someone could tell what was wrong with me just by looking at my eyes? It was very peculiar and creepy. I had had lots of secrets hidden from everyone to show I was just a bold guy in school but I had my problems too.
"Simon, do you think that she knows about Eddie? I swear to God if she knows....."
" I don't think so, Chris. She didn't mention his name and she was utterly clueless when she saw me turned pale. Don't worry about it." I took in deep breaths and was alright soon.
" Okay. I've got to go home. Call me if you've got to talk." Simon stood up, patted my shoulder and walked out of my room.
I was lonely again. It was a good thing that I had finished Mrs Lewis's homework hours ago. And Tara came into my mind again.
"Who are you,Tara Sullivan?"
