Chapter 5 - Chapter 2: Arias Ella Edinburgh (1)

Different chatters and noises resounded in the academy auditorium.

A sleeved uniform had been provided directly to Regis, who sitting at the middle row in the auditorium.

The uniform Manaria prepared was custom-designed for his personal use. The fundamental color was the same as that of the other students, pure white. The cloth of his pants, which was incorporated with holiness, was worn nicely like a gentleman.

'Oh great, the size is perfect...she really prepared everything...'

Regis complimented Manaria in his head. Like she will ever hear him saying that.

Then the moment the golden-haired girl showed herself, the sound disappeared from the auditorium similar to the moment when the sea waves draw in.

Likewise, the moment everyone saw her, they took a breath and became speechless.

Step.... step.... in a situation where the sound of her shoes echoed within the quiet atmosphere, while furthermore having everyone stare at her, her actions and demeanor made everyone feel as if they were watching a scene from a film. This girl was walking forward with complete disregard for the countless stares, fixed on every move of hers.

Royal Princess — Arias Ella Edinburgh

You definitely won't forget her once you have seen her —a girl with such appearance was standing at the entrance of the Magic Academy of Axel ceremony hall.

The continent of Ozmark, the largest continent in the world, is where one of the strongest family of mages— the Edinburgh Family is located.

The Edinburgh Family, having a [Magnus] and other family members in Grand Magus Level, there's no one who doesn't know about them. Becoming a very strong family and having many connections made it one of the wealthiest. After several years of hard work from the Edinburghs, an empire was born.

Edinburgh Empire is situated in the middle of the continent. It was divided into five parts and on the west part of the empire is the kingdom where the [Magnus of Light] is residing at.

Edward Edinburgh, a hero of his generation, was the strongest Light Element mage who ever lived. His late wife, Ariel, passed away after giving birth because of her weak body and delicate pregnancy.

Edward's sole heir, Arias Ella Edinburgh— having the combined looks of her gallant father, and her beautiful mother, it can be said that Arias was a peerless beauty that can bring down an empire.

Silky golden blond hair flowing down to her back, well-proportioned body, milky white skin without any blemishes, and a pair of clear aqua blue eyes that may suck your soul out.

In addition to her peerless beauty, Arias is a genius in combat and her magic is also at the top for her generation.

At the age of 17, she's already at the Intermediate Level of Master Magician and peak of Advance Level Knight.

Having aptitude in being a knight and a mage is not very rare but, reaching both the peak of advanced level in knighthood and intermediate level in master magician at the same time, it is something extremely hard for her age especially since she is a girl.

Because of these achievements, despite being a freshman she was able to become a member student council of the most prestigious school in the continent of Ozmark, the Magic Academy of Axel.

She walked past Regis and when she sat down in the furthest row from his position, the chain of silence was finally broken, and chatter could be heard, mixed with some sighs of relief.

'So she didn't even notice me.' The brows of his eyes curved into a frown as Regis removed his gaze from Arias and looked in front.

'It's been eight years after all...' an inward sigh came out and he shakes his head sideways as the thought of that came to mind.

"Well, you are dealing with the Princess, after all."

Hearing that comment, Regis turned to his side as he was interrupted in his musings.

From his side, a young man with lean facial features said this with a sigh. Then—

"... Hey, are you the rumored 'special exemption transfer student'?"

"Were you perhaps talking to me?" Hearing that question, Regis squinted his eyes.

"...Sorry, if I made you upset."

The young man immediately apologized and that made Regis relax a little.

"Hehe, looks like you are the type of person who can talk normally."

"Huh?"

"You had a frown on your face this whole time. So I, who am sitting beside you, wanted to do something about this awkward atmosphere."

"Hmm... I was just concerned about something."

"And you are telling me that your concerns weren't a serious issue compared to that beautiful princess from our country?"

"I'm not telling you."

Regis ended up making a cold face to his comment, which the young man made while putting on a wry smile.

The young man extended his right hand while asking him that. Regis looked at the extended hand in front of him as think for a split second and grasped the young man's hand, which he shook lightly.

"My name is Sieg Falna."

"My name is Erick Waldenstein. We'll become roommates so let's get along, Sieg."

"Roommates...you mean in the dorms?"

"Yep. My room was intended for two people after all."

"My apologies but I think you're misinformed about that. I also have a room for myself in the dormitory."

"Is that so. No worries I understand. I'll just check it out later."

Erick seemed to be quite the candid young man.

Though it wasn't immediately obvious while he was sitting, he ought to be a full head taller than Regis. His attitude seemed rather childlike, but both his expression and his stature spoke of his maturity.

"Anyway, I'm glad to know that the transfer student is an interesting one."

"..."

"You're the only one who's able to admit here without taking the exam. What's more, daring to peep on the Princess in front of her face? There's no need for false modesty here." Erick said jokingly.

'When did I ever peep at Arias?!'

Regis felt the urge to kill Erick from the spot for saying that, and if given the opportunity, Regis would gladly send half of the school population with him.

When Regis was having this discussion with Erick, they heard the sound of the speaker is turned on.

"Ah, looks like the entrance ceremony will begin."

Soon after, the sound of the microphone test,

— [Ah...test, test] — echoed through the auditorium.

[Everyone, silence. We will be starting the entrance ceremony shortly. I, Robert will be in charge of the ceremony.]

[Silence]

— A man, who's wearing glasses, in his late 20's, whom they assuming is a professor, said again while standing on the stage and the noise within the auditorium settled down.

[The opening ceremony for the high school division of Twilight Magic Academy will now commence. First, the director of our academy will be giving her words to all of you, the new students.]

The next moment the ceremony began.

Regis saw a familiar person wearing a tight-fitting vestment with a black robe walking up to the stage.

'… Just like our first meeting…'

Without a doubt, the person on stage is the woman who saved him.

[Welcome to Academy of Time Axel, I am the director, Witch of Time Axel, Manaria Sicily.]

Manaria, the witch who doesn't have the image of a director, and she, who doesn't seem to age even after many years, started her speech magnificently.

Her hair, as black as the abyss, is tied into two parts, and her figure wrapped in a black vestment makes me experience the same feelings as Regis felt during our first encounter, both voluptuous and seductive, like a beautiful mage in her prime.

"Witch of Time Axel…"

Erick and almost everyone from the auditorium looked shocked and amazed by the one standing on the stage.

Regis expected the amazed and shocked look on their faces.

"Looks like you are shocked about this."

"Y-Yeah. Of course, I would. She's an amazing person… But, she looks quite young…"

"Well, I heard she uses time-control magic to maintain her prime."

"That's right. By the way, Regis, have you already read the pamphlet?"

"The school fee is free of charge and uses a boarding school system. On top of coming with three meals, they will help the students to become full-fledged magicians."

"Other than that?"

"…"

'Like hell, I'm gonna read that thick booklet!'

Regis looked away from him.

"Read through them properly..."

"No need."

Then, just like that, it seemed like the director's speech was about to end for this entrance ceremony.

From the director who was acting magnificently while giving her very long speech, she was about to end the ceremony with a voice which gave everyone chills.

[All of you would be acquiring a different kind of techniques and knowledge within this Magic Academy. But please remember that all of these are to make all of you go even higher. That will serve as the school's policy, which would be absolute. ...Lastly, I will end this ceremony by sending this word to you all.]

The director stopped her speech there, and looked around the new students—

—and she spoke that words again.

[For a long time now, this world needed someone to rule it. Maybe one of you is fated to be it!]

"Huh...?"

"What's wrong, Regis?"

"No, it's nothing…"
