"Do you know now?" They had no idea how much time they had spent wrapped in each other's arms in silence. Instead of ruining the moment, Yang Feng's whispered question actually made it more intimate.

He tilted his head down to look at her in the eyes. When he saw her resting her face on his chest, snuggling against it as if she was made for the spot, his gaze softened. He caressed her cheek with his thumb, her skin as smooth as it looked.
Zhao Lifei knew what he wanted to hear, but she couldn't say it because in reality, as much as her heart wanted him, she knew she wasn't ready.
"I need time." She quietly whispered.
Yang Feng felt his heart drop at her words. It was the opposite of what he expected her to say.
