Cheng Jie watched Ye Yuwei's reaction but did not say anything. He merely turned to look at the entrance of the Civil Affairs Bureau.
"I am just curious why you'd be sitting here alone."
"I am just resting here after walking for a long while," Ye Yuwei answered in a nonchalant tone.
"Mike is not around today. I thought of walking outside, but I got lost. Since you are here, why don't we go for a walk? I have something to check with you." Cheng Jie did not nail her lie and continued saying.
"I am not well versed in business. Mr. Cheng, why don't you check with Mr. Gu?" Ye Yuwei rejected him. She was stressed out with Cheng Jie around.
"Mr. Gu will be here too? Is the rumor true?" Cheng Jie asked curiously.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Cheng. I have something to do. I've got to go." Ye Yuwei walked past him after nodding her head slightly.
