Chapter 16 - This Was A Guy Right?!

While Charlie had set out to drive around the vicinity of Luke's school. Luke had made his way to the warehouse. Immediately upon arrival he shoved the guards away effortlessly. He didn't have any time to waste on them. He had a debt to settle.

Once inside his eyes briefly scanned the room. Five men to the right, six to the left. The clubhouse was relatively quiet at this time it seemed. Luke was contemplating. Were they just not there? Were they out on missions?? Or were they lurking, waiting for a chance to take him down?

That last option was a strong possibility.

For all he knew, there could be an order out on his head already. It wasn't enough to deter him though. If anything it only served to motivate him all the more.

Luke ascended the stairway to the scaffolding. Climbing each step one at a time until he made his way to the loft of the building. It was a small narrow hallway along the top of the warehouse. At one point it had served as an office or supervisory space for the warehouse owner. From there you could see all the goings on of the gang. It gave quite the ideal vantage point. To the left there was an office which, Luke assumed, was headquarters. Without knocking, or even announcing himself, he barged in.

"I'm here to finish what we started. If there's anything I can't stand, its having my battles fought for me." He paused here, allowing the weight of his words to fall up on Hunters ears. "The only thing worse is having my adversary show charity" He sneered.

Luke was obviously attempting to instigate another round with Hunter. Deliberately egging him on with his words.

Hunter looked up from where he sat at his desk. It hadn't take Luke anywhere near as long as he thought it would to come back and re-issue his challenge. He knew when he left the way he had last time the kid had not been happy. He even watched as he kicked and punched his friend, Charlie, and laughed from his spot inside the office. This kid was a live wire.

If he wanted to issue a challenge again he wouldn't stop him. He also wouldn't just let him walk away this time either.

Hunter watched the other man in his office. Appraising him the second time. Even after watching the previous interactions, there still so many things he needed to unravel about this kid. His behaviour was just so erratic. There was also that strange relationship between him and his friend.

Sliding off his leather jacket he strung it over the chair before looking to Cage who had up to this point remained silent. His expression one of disbelief as he eyed the younger kid, eyes almost wide. This kid was definitely crazy.

"This time no interruptions. It seems I was too easy on this brat last time" Hunter looked to his second. "If anyone, I don't care who it is, interrupts ..you shoot them."

Remembering Charlie's previous moment of stupidity, Luke was instantly grateful he wasn't there. As much as he hated the interruption last time it didn't mean he wanted him shot. He couldn't care less for the others present. They were all cannon fodder to him.

Luke threw his jacket to the corner of the room which was quickly followed by the hoodie. He couldn't afford any hindrances. He could tell by Hunter's words that he was serious this time. Just the thought of it had him so full of anticipation he was almost vibrating.

Following him out Luke's eyes took in the remaining crew in the warehouse. They were all tense with anticipation, this young kid had made quite the splash and it looked like he was finally going to be taken down a notch. Seeing the eagerness in their eyes to watch him fall he couldn't help but smirk. Like he would break that easily.

As they descended the stairways Hunter moved toward the center of the room. As he approached them the men began to move clearing space for them to fight.

Luke began stretching his arms, inhaling deeply as he did. Closing his eyes he focused. Clearing his thoughts and mind until he could amost hear and sense the activity around himself. Bracing his legs he stood, his rightt arm poised to defend, left arm ready to attack. He had memorized and strategized every possible move Hunter could make.

Once again the men were squaring off against each other. Watching one another with a sense of caution as they would charge in and retract.

The sounds of feet scuffling against the course cement ground could be heard echoing in the room it was so quiet. Not a single person daring to move or breathe. All eyes were riveted as they watched the two men match each other kick for kick, punch for punch.

Luke swung his right arm with a quick jab while Hunter slide sideways to dodge, dropping down to strike at his left foot catching him off guard.

Hunter lost balance but only momentarily as he rolled, springing himself forward land a punch on Luke's back hitting him in his kidneys causing the kid to groan in pain as he spun.

Luke's left hand came out to block the second hit unexpectedly as he pivoted on his heels striking Hunter in the ribs. Hunter laughed as he spat blood out onto the ground he couldn't help but admit this kid had skill. He was so slim he moved with agility, it was almost feminine he thought, not for the first time.

Hunters right fist swung forward while Luke tried to catch his breath, hitting him square in the stomach. As he prepared to hit the second time, Luke moved, blocking his swing and catching Hunters hand in his own. Hunters eyes went wide.

It was in this moment though that Luke began to feel his world spin, the damage to his back and stomach taking its toll. He lost his balance and falling backward clung to Hunter's wrist in shock. The moment of the fall caused the two men fall forward, landing Luke pinned under Hunters weight.

The entire room seemed to disappear at this moment as the others were forgotten.

Hunter glanced down at the kid beneath him, his eyes narrowing as he did. Lying  beneath him was an unusually slender body. A pair or crystal blue eyes stared back him in shock as a faint pink color seemed to rise up in the kids cheeks.

Apart from this kid was surprisingly delicate looking with his high cheekbones and perfectly proportionate nose. His blue eyes were hooded with lashes so soft they were almost like down and for a moment Hunter was stunned. He could almost easily be looking at the most beautiful girl he had ever seen.

Except this was a guy right?

Luke lay beneath him stunned, his own eyes taking in Hunters firm jawline and deep blue green eyes. Hunter's dark black hair fell in torrents around his face, framing it perfectly with the sweat from their battle. Luke began to unexpectedly feel his heart race, its steady beating echoing in his ears. Suddenly as though coming to life alarm bells started going off through the fog of his brain.

Get up dummy! Get up now!! Move it!!

Luke began to squirm underneath Hunters weight causing his breath to hitch as he blinked. Unfortunately for Luke the more he fought the more Hunter's body responded in kind until attempting to push him off Luke inadvertently caused one of Hunter's hands to brush against his chest. Both men panicked.

Lukes face had gone from white to a bright hue of red while Hunter's gaze turned wide staring down at where his hand had touched. That wasn't muscle. It was soft. Even through the t-shirt and bandage Hunter could tell something was off.

Immediately he drug Luke up to his feet and pulled him back up to his office. In the meantime the men in room sat in a dazed silence at what they had just witnessed.

What the bloody hell was going on?!
