Chapter 4 - The Right of Passage.

Charlie and Luke road through the city, the lights dimming as they approached the outskirts of town until they reached a secluded area. Away from cops and onlookers. As they dismounted the bike they couldn't help but take notice of their surroundings.

The club house was a run down warehouse just outside town. The lights had long since been knocked out to prevent people from identifying gang members. The lot was filled with a variety of bikes and from the ramshackle building the sound of loud music could be heard.

Approaching the entrance they noted their were two guards posted sentry at the door. Both them rather tall and bulky looking their leather jackets adorned with a the gangs initials, highlighted by two crisscrossing shivs.[1] If it had been a few months earlier this sight would have terrified Amalia, but now. Here in Luke's persona she often forgot she was a girl. It was in some respects a blessing in disguise as it gave her an escape from the harsher reality of her existence.

The bigger of the two men posted guard looked at them as they approached. Charlie himself seemed pretty capable but who the hell was this kid beside him? The man grunted. "Hey runt. This ain't no daycare and there ain't no nanny here to wipe your nose. Why don't you scurry on home?" He laughed, causing the other guard to laugh beside him.

Charlie could only groan, this was bad. It was really bad. His eyes shifted to his younger companion and he cleared his throat. " Uh..just ignore them Luke" He gestured "You know how it is all all brawn, no brains as the saying goes" Charlie laughed nervously at this own joke, eyeing his friend to see if he bought it. Please god, let him buy it.

Luke looked to the two men and then back at his friend, and smiled widely. It was a smile that under any other circumstance most people would find blinding. Charming even. Accept Charlie knew it too well.

Luke. Did. Not. Ever. Smile. Not in .

Charlie could help rub his eyes taking a deep breath as he tried quickly to diffuse the situation. "Look, you two. Tweedle dee and Tweedle dum. My buddy here just wants to take initiation test. Just let us through its all good eh?" He cajoled.

With this the two men began to laugh even harder. Charlie began to count silently. 1. 2. 3. 4...He hadn't even hit five he heard a loud 'BAM'. Without batting a lash Luke had knocked the two men through doors with a solid round house kick announcing their entry to the rest of the gang.

"Well, we're here" Charlie joked. But somehow he couldn't help but think this was going to be a long night. Good thing they had beer.

At the sound of the doors being busted open the whole room turned to look at the two of them, Their eyes filling with confusion. This tall curly haired dude had just knocked out those two thugs? They all began simultaneously calculating their odds of winning. Most of them making one fatal mistake. They all had forgotten to take into account the shorter less intimidating of the two, much to Luke's amusement. Thanks to the confusion, he now had the upper hand.
