"Hello, new girl. Wanna be my girlfriend. All mine," said a boy who had just approached our table and winked at me. "Stop playing around, Mason. She is Sarah, a new member of our family," Vanessa said hitting him on his elbow. "Hey Mason. Nice to meet you," I offered him to sit with us. He took my offer. We ordered burgers and coke. While Mason kept us busy with his jokes. He was a very funny guy. My cheeks were already red after laughing so much when I saw Noah enter the canteen. So no one noticed my blush. I waved at him and he smiled at me. Finally, my body had started acting a little normal when he was in vicinity. Still it had not adjusted enough to stop me from blushing. But I was not doing stupid things.
We kept talking. I asked Vanessa when she would take me to the woods. She said it was better to go this weekend as we would be receiving more assignments later. Hence, it was agreed we would go there this weekend accompanied by Mason. We discussed about the stuff we would be doing there. My only wish was to take some snaps and enjoy some peace. Throughout the discussion I would steal some glances at Noah. Vanessa was right. He showed least interest in girls. He was eating alone that time using his phone. That is when a tall and ravishing girl approached his table with a tray in her hand and sat down with him. They both started talking. The girl would laugh every now and then. So, most likely they were having a good conversation. It was quite evident they were best friends. I asked Vanessa, "Who is that girl sitting with Noah?" Vanessa slowly looked towards where Noah was sitting and frowned, "That is Megan. She is the most annoying girl I have ever met. She thinks of herself as the queen of this college as if she owns it."
"But to some extent, her behavior is justified. After all her father pays for most of the college funds," Mason spoke in between.
"But that doesn't mean she can just waltz around and get everything done by others. I like the way Noah treats her. She deserves it. She thinks that she can impress Noah with her wealth and fake beauty. Little does she know he is all blind to girls especially girls like her," Vanessa said.
"Still she is not gonna leave him alone. She is just gonna tag along him even if he goes in a ditch. I don't know why he doesn't stop her from doing that. As if he enjoys attention" Mason said with little disgust.
"No no. It's just because Noah's and Megan's fathers are best friends. And he does not intend to ruin it because of her. Otherwise he would not stand her for a second and the college knows enough about him to conclude this. How thoughtful of him though!" Vanessa clarified.
Now I was more intent on knowing Noah but I was also afraid in approaching him after what my friends told me about him.
